Hi guys, i'm new here.. i've just finished a more polished sketch of the idea i posted on my introduction post. Hope you like it, i think it'll be ready as my first miniature this week.

He looks fun. With such a cartoony look I am going to leave aside my usual objections to the sword carried on the back and the unhistorical armour but I can give some general paper figure advice. It will be easier to do a back if you make his feet level on the ground. Figuremakers kind of have to forget what they know about perspective. There are some tutorials if you scroll down the "home" page of this forum.
I am also a little worried that he is so narrow at the knee he will have a tendency to bend there. Lots of people like to cut out the space between their figures legs.
I'm try to help, no discourage. He makes a fine first impression!

I was thinking to put some black background between the legs for steadiness. And yes, my characters has nothing historical in them, as I have a Japanese anime tendency. But I’m open to suggestions, maybe next time I’ll try to make a more historically accurate character to better suite d&d-like games.

I like him - prefer him to the first I have to admit. Still catoonish in style, but less "chibi"... i.e. his head is slightly more in proportion. I would field him quite happily on the table with the other mini makers in my collection.
