Alrighty, I finished two vaporators and converted some buildings from lightning's Desert Village using parts from WWG's Celestus Pravatis (Hellworks 3.) The buldings aren't on bases yet, but I will make some soon. Last night, my wife walked by and said the board looked very nice, and the use of the rocks from outside gave it a very different look than my usual set-ups. She really does pay a lot of attention to what I do, even if she doesn't participate. After looking at it overnight, I've decided it looks too empty. One of the things about Star Wars settings is that there is clutter everywhere, giving it a very lived-in look. I've got a Naboo speeder I want to remove the crew from, and Rey's speeder from Jaaku that will both fit in, as well as some containers etc. from various papercraft producers that I can build and add. Oh, and the other two vaporators I am half-finished with.

Looking great, but I agree some clutter pieces will add more detail. The SW crates in my sets are not difficult to make. If you like details UHU02 is making a new Rey's speeder paper models. It's detail crazy ... and 1/12 scale :-)

Our local dollar store had ~28mm diecast toys of Rey's bike, I think I have nine or so of them now (and I think four Batcycles.) And my Naboo speeder is a WOTC prepaint. Both can help set the scene.

You are certainly well stocked then :-) Now back to work, make a scene! :-)

Nice start. The term they coined from the films was "Used Future", clutter everywhere and everything looks very lived in.

Nice start. The term they coined from the films was "Used Future", clutter everywhere and everything looks very lived in. It made it look very "real." All those little details were what I was going for with my Manchukuo scenery too. Eorld of Warcraft makes good use of clutter everywhere as well. That's one thing about Star Trek, planwts always seem too uncluttered.

Some of my Squinkie Star Wars. Yeah, I worked to make it look cluttered and "lived in".

Ok, so it's looking a little better here. I think four small crates and two big crates will finish the look nicely. But I am totally playing a game on this just the way it is tomorrow.

Where do you get that granite? You seem to have a lot of it from your various photos. It certainly fits.
BTW ... this got me curious, so did a search for the term 'star wars' on the forum here and there are 14 pages of posts.
Even more if you do 'star'. This forum is a gold mine for so many things
