"Dad, can I play a game with your 'Death to the Flesh' artificials cadre?" "Sure, I'll just grab this random group of Wretched that I've never used so that it'll be even." Turn 1; The boy figures out Leadership quite well, all the Wretched pass their quality and advance. The zombie leader cleverly isolates himself by running forward as far as he can... Turn 2; The Cyborg Slaughterer lives up to his name and rushes up to get a gruesome kill on the zombie leader, all the Wretched (except extra-slow-witted Uncle Joe) flee... Turn 3; Uncle Joe gets a boot in the face and that's game... Lessons learned: Use cover...

What an unfortunate ending! Sounds like it was at least an entertaining game.

Great battle report! How come kids always beat their dads' butts so handily? 22 years in the military and I regularly get my butt handed to me by a 10 year old, 12 year old, and 16 year old. We must be raising a generation of Alexanders and Napoleons. Great pics and nice terrain, too. I really like those Quonset huts. I think I recognize a WWG propane tank from the gas station, and an Ebbles Landing pad, but where do the obelisks and Quonset huts come from? Also, where are the ground tiles from? Luckyjoe

Yeah, sometimes I forget how sharp my son is, next time the Wretched will have their revenge! The huts and Obelisks are from Ebbles Miniatures - the Shahad Ziggurat and the farmstead sets. The Ziggurat is a fun build and the farmstead has tons of stuff to play with. The tiles are from WWG's Mars Station, I have another board like this that didn't run out of ink printing the ground tiles.

Thanks, I'm heading over to the Ebble's site tonight. Got some models to get. That's funny about the low-ink tiles. I did that with the Platform Command and got lucky, it just made tiles around the sludge pit look kind of faded and corroded. (At least that's my story ) Luckyjoe
