I'll give this another try. I wonder if people have been burnt, and that is why nobody is responding, even when I offer money? BTW, what would be a reasonable price for, say, a "Patrick Crusiau Red Box Set" ? I'm thinking $25 to $35? Or am I off base? Note that I would not even need figs with backs, just a side-on face, that could be turned into a mirror image for a false "left to right." Since most of my figures are Patrick's, and that's the way he did them, I'd be perfectly happy with the same. But, to begin. I'd like a set of Napoleonic Duelists. Officers and enlisted men in uniform, but brandishing swords or pistols, so that they could be used for roleplaying adventures and, of course, duels. Horsemen would be nice too (think the Keith Carradine / Harvey Keitel movie from 1977 www.imdb.com/title/tt0075968/ ) so dueling of all types could be done. Any other figures of the period would be greatly appreciated. I think a lot of mileage could be had, and the work made relatively easy, by largely borrowing from Patrick's free ACW figs ( glorantha.temppeli.org/resources/misc/paper_figures/somecardboardfigs/ACW.jpg ) and swashbuclkers ( glorantha.temppeli.org/resources/misc/paper_figures/somecardboardfigs/Swashbucklers.jpg ) and I am not a button counter, so it should be relatively easy. NOW, AS TO THE MONEY: Again, maybe some of you have taken commissions and been burnt, well, there is not danger of that here. If we agree on a price, and you can just show me some very quick sketches of what you plan to do (stick figures would be fine), I'll send you a money order, or do a debit card payment, and we're off and running. I will take the risk. It will be well worth it to get this done. Again, thanks.

I frequent the forums, but I'm not an artist or mini maker, so there's not much I can do to help. I know that it may be more effective to reach out to an artist directly rather than post something here and hope it is stumbled upon. I can make up theories as to why you haven't gotten a response:
Maybe your post was overlooked, so you just didn't get lucky randomly crossing paths with the right person. Maybe artists have their own style, and the fact that you are insisting on mimicking another artists style makes the prospect less appealing. Maybe artists are really busy with other commissions right now, and aren't taking on more work. Maybe artists aren't doing commissions because they have Patreons that demand their time and attention well enough. Maybe the genre you're interested in doesn't fit with an artists plans for other minis, so they are willing to let it go to someone else.
I know I personally am very busy with a lot of side projects and a day job and a family, and even responding like this takes time and energy that I debated spending. It's nothing personal - it's just that real life is really hectic. I'll be honest, the title of the post alone made me want to stay clear of the thread - to me, it sounds rude and entitled.
But I figured rather than thundering silence, I'd try to offer some reasons why you might not be finding a taker for your offer. You might try researching artists on fiverr, or reaching out politely to artists directly that you think complement the style you're looking for.

I have a ton of work to do and a pile of commissions I am currently behind on, otherwise, I'd be on this. I love fun stuff like this.

"reaching out politely to artists directly that you think complement the style you're looking for."
This right here seems like your best bet.

And it may be a request for something that doesn't interest the said artist.
Historical stuff just doesn't appeal to a lot of folks. And maybe they don't want to do a project that seems too much like a job.
There's all kinds of reasons why you aren't getting a response. I can only speak for myself, but Real Life time constraints, interest in the topic, not fitting in with what I like to do, etc. are all things that come into play

Personally, I love the Napoleonic era and I have a campaign I've always wanted to run where British and French forces team up to fight zombies, but I just don't have the resource I need to complete it, time. I also have a Rates Guide that I put out every year. The rates will be rising in 2019, but you get the idea. I'm currently booked up until next year with projects, but if you are interested in what I've been charging, here is a link. www.rpgnow.com/product/230141/Okumarts-Art-Rates-Guide-2018

"(think the Keith Carradine / Harvey Keitel movie from 1977 www.imdb.com/title/tt0075968/ ) so dueling of all types could be done." This intrigued me so I referenced the link and watched the trailer. It turns out is available as a free download on my Amazon Prime account. I'm going to watch it later today. Thanks!

I like to think of it more as a prophet crying in the wilderness. Some (or all) may find me obnoxious, and maybe some chick will dance for her step daddy, and then demand my head on a silver platter as payment, but, at this point, the option seems to be... well... no miniatures. Now, if someone will TAKE the commission, and demand I apologize, I'm all for it. I do draw the line at my head rolling around on a silver platter. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw7up3lXeVw

I remember a time when I was a young lad. I'd asked my grandfather if I could do something on his farm which should have been no big deal, but he told me 'no'. I don't remember if I was shocked, dumbfounded, or in a funk, but he sat me down and told me that when I ask something, I need to be prepared to get a 'no' answer. I went into a rationale for why I thought it warranted a 'yes', and he said he agreed, but the answer was still 'no'. A few days later, he asked me if I'd thought any more about the deal while we were doing some chores. He wanted me to know that he was only teaching me about life.
I have seen many artists burn themselves out trying to do things for recognition and seeing their creations built. I tell them that they should still create, but create for themselves. If anyone else builds it, that's a bonus. Over the last few years, I've probably put as much in the Hoards as anyone. Sometimes I even see some of them built ... rarely.
There have been many times that I thought an idea would fit someone's interests or their style of design, so I would make a suggestion. Rarely does anything come of my suggestion. On occasion, I get a nasty response to mind my own business. Not very often.
So, I decided I needed to concentrate on what interests me, see if I'm up to the task (less than half my projects ever seem to get finished), and give it a go.
If you are not getting the response you want, perhaps it's time to jump in and start learning one of the image manipulation programs. There are many tutorials available and folks here would be willing to help you learn them. I use Gimp. You will probably find it to be quite addicting

I really like this guy @autohammer! His left hand looks a little big. As a (stage) fencing teacher, I would also say that his stance is narrow, but a lot of real fencers get caught in this position.

Your middle seven guys are all in a good En Guard. Well done! In this period the back foot should not turn forward and the heel should not leave the ground, but don't change a thing. They all look fun.

AUTOHAMMER! I COULD KISS YOU! These are excellent, and exactly what I am looking for! Really, really nice! A few questions though, probably just born of my ignorance, such as why is the 8th guy down a young hill giant Frenchman? Or maybe he is the only human, and the rest are Napoleonic gnomes with their beards shaved? Either way, REALLY REALLY great stuff. My other questions I will ask in PMs, if that is okay.
