i am newb. If you know anything about Terralinx please help. This is our first forage into papercrafting scenery
We have cameo silhouette.and bought some scenery. downloaded fine, extract fine...
1. Silhouette cameo 3. The banner on the top of pdf prevents us from doing print and cut. It confuses the machine. 2. The print file does not fit in the print and cut area seems to require resizing of the image. 3. Cannot cut. When trying to cut with covering the banner it skews the cut horribly.
I sent this to the contact people at Terrainlnx but no reply since last week.
I lf there isnt a way to make terrainlinx files work with our gear, what can we reliably work with instead to make scenery. walls floors roofs etc...
Please help me get started with this campaign. winter is coming

Those old PDFs used registration marks that work with older machines. To work with newer machines you will have to conver the reg marks. Christopher Roe made a ‘patch kit’ to cover up the old marks with new ones. Alternatively you can extract the images from the PDFs and import them into Silhouette Studio, and print from there after fixing the marks. Either one is extra work, but we can help you out here. When I get home (I’m on my phone at a kids event...) I can look up more info if no one else helps first!

Regarding other sources of terrain, you can also look into Fat Dragon Games or my own company Paper Realms on www.drivethruprg.com. Fat Dragon has a lot of paper terrain, and a great community, and cutfile support. They focus more on 3D printing now, but have been around a long time. I’ve only been doing Paper Realms for a little while, so my catalog is small. I have some modular dungeon and building sets, and they come with support for Silhouette Portrait/CAMEO cutters (as well as the older cutters). If you have questions, just ask!

I hate to hijack this thread but do you have a cut file for Medieval Village Set 1 - Small House? It is a free one so I was not sure if you included it. Thanks.

Oddly enough, no! It’s been on my todo list for ages, but never has been a request... I will whip up cutfiles tomorrow. Sorry about that, and thanks for asking!
