I actually had this scheduled as my next build. I want to redesign the fenders to have a vertical inner fender to hold the shape. I also want to have it as a traditional glue-together, instead of slot-together. There is a really horrible version of Bessie out there that wouldn't look too bad if you made it small enough, but I want to have a set of three Who cars for the December Hoard. A decent Bessie, Rory's Jag, and the Edsel. I have gotten to roadblocks on the Edsel several times, so I think that if I get this one done, that will put pressure on me to finish the Edsel. Power of Three, you know

Okay, Bessie was a Siva Edwardian built on a Ford 103E chassis (I can't resist ... the Ford E-Type) Even though this was a fully loaded kit car, dimensions of the Ford 103E would still apply, Wheelbase 90 in (2,286 mm)[1] Length 151.5 in (3,848 mm)[1] Width 56.5 in (1,435 mm)[1] Height 64.5 in (1,638 mm)[1] Curb weight 1,624 lb (737 kg)[4] Well, at least the wheelbase, and the width would be approximate. Gives me a good jumping off point Well, I'm getting eye strain

A little more done over lunch. Moved to a new page, enlarged in png format, and some more clean-up. I had planned on just fixing some color and adding the spare tire, building it and seeing how it works before fixing some things that need fixing (grill is wrong, no windshield supports, no folding roof apparatus, the brushed aluminum frame to the running board surface, etc.), but I think if I'm going to build it, I should fix the things that are obvious. So right now, I've got as much as can be done until after work, but I'm happy with the progress. Fixing the wheels and body color did wonders for it. EDIT-- some more done after work, but gotta head out

Been working on the pin-striping and clean-up of the body of the car. Still need to work on the bonnet and fenders.
And do all the other little fixes, only I got to thinking. I was working on how to do the tabs, instead of slot-fit, but then I thought 'People like fold-flat, and this is fold-flat already.' Should I just concentrate on making this to scale and keep it slot-fit?

I don't like fold-flat. But I'm just one guy, and I might not even build it o.0

Got some more done last night and during a webinar today. The fenders were a bit of a bear. I ended up fixing one side of the fenders, copy/flip/paste to do the other side. This brought up an interesting deal. Granted, the scan isn't that great, but the fenders on the one side were 3 pixels wider than the other. Quite a bit of difference on something this small. The notches and fold lines were also off. I decided to work on squaring things and making them uniform, so not just a clean-up of the original any more. Also adding border/cut lines all around, just to make it a bit better. My goal of printing this off tonight is out the window. I think I'll do up the jpg with my changes also. Someone will probably want to do this on letter or A4, and that would help them out for the big version EDIT -- The webinar ended up being a good one, so little else done, except it is all outlined now. Really, I think giving it brighter headlights and a grill that is more like Bessie will pretty much wrap this up. Those windshield straps have me a little bumfuddled. Some photos show them brown, others light grey, and others black. And I'm not sure there will be enough room between the fender and bonnet to run them down to where the front bumper should be. And I'm not real sure of the length. I'll probably throw a proxy on the file, and then decide whether to use them. I also need to put those little button tail lights on the top corners of the rear license plate.

Well, I need to look at it again after dinner before I print it off, but I think it will work.

I'm glad I didn't do too much on that model. If I'm to do a version of Bessie, there were things I needed to develop.
I now have side panels, but I'm going to take off the shadows. I have the hood, the grill, my version of the fenders and running boards. My tires and wheels.
And I think I'm much more equipped to do a decent model.

I should have a 'working' version soon. I had grendelsmother64's blessing on the hearse, but I'd like to do this as a mod of the flivver, but I'd need his permission. Or I could do a version like my easy VW, which might be best for the round profile fenders. It has to be easy, though. Unless scale doesn't matter. It has a wheelbase of 1.5 inches. It is small. I do prefer my grill and the lamps better. The color is more appropriate. The pinstriping was red on this, and should be grey or a darker yellow. Those blotchy shadows need to go away. Like the hearse, the engine cowl needs to be long, low and narrow, but I think the hearse dimensions could be used with the first flivver. But dang this is small

There is a poll coming up on the Patreon to see Who's Next? Maybe a certain silver-haired dandy?

What I find amazing about myself, is that I should have been able to realize how horrible this would be. Maybe I was just hoping that it would be better, and set aside all the things that came to mind. I remember having thought that the sides were too wedge-like. And I thought about whether the way they handled the rear passenger area would look screwy. I remember thinking that it was far too narrow. But, I've learned a long time ago, that things sometimes work better than anticipated, so I moved forward. But this thing is horrid.

And chopped at an angle, and narrowed. Tonight I was pulling up my images of the EZ vehicles and my Bessie images. It should work, although I am wondering if I should leave the seats out. When grendelsmother64 introduced us to the Flivvers, the first one was the topless tourer, with a cabin that you could put figures in. I think this could be put together that way fairly easily. If I have seats, I'd probably square them off. Bessie's seats have backs that wrap around to the armrests. I don't know. Actually, if the seats sit on the body sides, it might not be too bad. Just have to experiment
