Hey, I'm new here so I hope kitbashes like these are allowed. I'm a huge fan of Dave Graffam's models and his babylon set is amazing. I wanted to be able to create walkway intersections without having to use additional buildings. i made this small riser to help me make L, T and X intersections and works nicely as a lookout tower or sniper nest. The pillar was made by me in Fusion360 and unwrapped in pepakura and the pieces around the base of the pillar are from the comm beacon but printed at 50% size. The textures are all copied and edited from Dave's pdf.

That's a great kitbash! Build pics are always OK to share. As to redistributing kitbash, we always ask the creator for permission before sharing the pages.
After all, most of them are here! :-)

I'm not planning on sharing the files as this is just for personal use, but Dave might want to create an official version of something that serves the same purpose because I think it's pretty handy. sorry for the grainy pic and the lack of other walkways, but I think this gives you an idea.

Outstanding. And I hope he does offer an official version.
What game do you use this with?

If you can format the pieces into a semi-understandable PDF file, you should definitely ask Dave's permission to share it. It looks great, but I can't see that it would be of much use to anyone who didn't already have and use his commercial Babylon kit, so if anything, sharing that add-on piece ought to serve as extra marketing and value-enhancement to the paid kit. I'm working on a Kill Team board using the Babylon Toxic Sand kit as my featured terrain, which I've been writing about on my blog, and I'd totally love to have that pillar available to add to the modular kit Dave's designed and I've assembled for play!

We play a lot of tabletop RPGs and boardgames, so I thought it's time I introduce her to some skirmishing. Personally, I would love to get in to kill team but sadly I cant afford the games workshop stuff. I've been looking at all kinds of rules so if you've got a simple man-to-man skirmish game (preferably sci-fi) let me know. I've got some super basic homebrewed move and shoot mechanics I might try with her soon and see if she likes playing.

Here are a few free ones; Fast and DirtyMantic GamesKings of War is a mass battle game but is not really complicated. Vanguard is a skirmish level game based off of Kings of War, I haven't played it but Mantic games are all pretty simple at their core.
