Quick and easy? The Road Warrior vehicles were chopped vehicles with all kinds of stuff added on, and dune buggies with stuff added on. Of the most-memorable vehicles was the Ford pickup with the top removed and the jet engine buggy.
I'm interested in what you come up with.

I think it was kiladecus who did vehicles using two side views and an optional strip (front, hood, windsheild, roof, rear window, trunk, rear) you could glue between them to make it 3d. I can't imagine anything being more quick and easy.

Hey gang!
Yes, I did the CAMEL FAAV (Fast Assault Armored Vehicle) and MANTIS both were set up that way. The ZEUS Mobile Weapon Platform was similar, but had larger boxes to make it more sturdy.
Thank you for remembering me!

I don't have any meaningful design input for this thread, but man, I'm eager for more AOH sets, especially with some vehicles!

I really want to do the snake/cobra tow truck now. I found images of both sides, front, back and a top-down showing the hood and a top-down showing the back

Not to jump in to something already in the works, but I have ALWAYS wanted to do a Marvel Team-Up with you okumarts! If you are interested, you know how to reach me. I think we could slay this together.

I forgot my K'Vyk War Walker also worked like that.
One thing I always wanted to do as a model (I did the top-down token 20 years ago) is a garbage truck APC.

The truck looks like a Fifth Generation Ford pickup. As a tow truck, it would probably be the F-250 Heavy Duty Short Bed. Wheelbase would be 131 inches, which if I made the wheelbase 2.5 inches would be about 1/52 scale, which works. I'd probably do the wheels like squirmydad's ESWAT kitbash of Christopher Roe's vehicles. It definitely adds strength to the build. kiladecus used two pages for the Camel FAAV, and I see this requiring two pages. The central wrap-around will have to be longer to accommodate the open cabin. Then there are the half-wheels, the tow mechanism, bench seat and a steering wheel, so you can see it is right-drive. Might do a simple ballista, also. Wheels are definitely turning As the roll bars are white, they should be pretty easy. The additional driving lights on the front will probably be part of a separate part that glues onto the front that will also include the grill. I think I will add a bumper strip to be glued onto this also to give depth. kiladecus, what Marvel vehicles are you thinking of?

Starting with this -- I now have this EDIT -- I realized that I squared things up and sized the image based on making the wheelbase 2.5 inches, without adjusting the height. That is now fixed. I'll have to snag some items out of other images to straighten out the perspective on a few things, like the door handles, yellow hazard light, and the filler cap. The right side is pretty much the same as this without the filler cap, and with the addition of the spotlight. I plan on doing it 2.5d with the profile as part of the side and the face glued onto the front. Also part of the snake's tail is on the right side, but not on the left, so I'll have to blend it in. I'll have to fake the bucket seats on the bench seat, but I will take a real bench seat and use artistic license. Or that padded section at the rear of the cab may not be a bench seat back, but just padding to cover the back of the cab. Not sure But this view gives a good idea of the shape of the windscreen and the vented hood EDIT #2-- Aha! Finally found that it was 79.4 inches wide, fender to fender

This little guy is fun to hunt down info on. On the real truck, there is a panel screwed into the metal door interior, with an armrest, window crank and door handle. Looks like they just took out the door handle and window crank and painted everything black, so the interior side of the 'door' will be black, well dark grey.
I had hoped to divide the center strip, the bottom of the truck wrapping around the front end, including the hood and both sides of the windscreen, ending with the dash cover, only they pulled it, leaving only the frame it bolted to ...
I still intend to have a stylized bed without all the swoops and curves

I am so stinking glad that I posted my revised side above. I made a mistake in interpretation of what I was seeing, and made a change to my file and didn't realize the mistake until it was too late to change. The hood actually sits higher than the tops of the fenders, so I shaved the hood down, only the shade of color I was cuing off of was incorrect. Other changes I made look proper, but this image will allow me to fix the hood line. Whew! bestmoviecars.com/all-cars-in-mad-max-2-the-road-warrior-1981/

So, okumarts, how are you doing with this? I have David Wears working on some 3d cars. I am focusing on the paper minis. I am currently away at a cottage so not as productive this week as I will be in another week.

Realized yesterday that I should have created my 'blank' version of the townhouse before I started doing the recolors, so went exploring on my hard drive and the internet to find additional ideas for this. I had forgotten about the 60's Camaro from www.papercars.net/cars.html. Also found out that HP not only had their Muscle Cars (a mish-mash of a Camaro and a Mustang), but previously they had a Mustang and the Deathproof Car Then I ran into the Lucas Oil Downloadables again, web.archive.org/web/20170202072641/https://lucasoil.com/lucas-media/downloadables. The trucks are based off of Jesse Smith's truck he did for Fox Sports Also found a dune buggy that should be easy to adapt

I shouldn't have mentioned the Chenowth without referencing it -- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_Patrol_Vehicle

EDIT-- I should have checked out Scherer images On the model, the strange handles at the front are really the side view of the bull bar...

There will be two sets of Car Tribes minis (24 minis, plus bonus material) coming soon! www.patreon.com/posts/28670973 Dave Wears (Kildecadus) will provide some vehicular mayhem to the sets and it's looking like it's going to be a fun combo.
