My dislike for repetition kicked in, so I took a break from the Coliseum build and started a new project. First build I have ever attempted that wasn't pre-made and with instructions. For those that played AD&D 1e and passed through the Village of Hommlet, there was the Inn of the Welcome Wench. A fairly large inn for a small town, it served traders passing between several kingdoms and the locals as well. I decided to recreate this, since EVERY player in my campaign has been here one or more times over the years...yeah, we are all old-timers. First floor - An edited texture (I removed the candles and soot stains from then off the walls) for the interior. Still need to add the stairs up (and an image of a descending stairs, that will finish the build. Even folded and glued, the 110# cardstock walls are way too flexible, as can be seen in the pictures. I plan on gluing on black posterboard on the outside, then (when I manage to find a fieldstone texture that A) I like and B) is seamless without too much of a repeat pattern) adding the texture over the posterboard. External chimney's will be constructed out of brick texture or the same fieldstone texture (I have not decided which I would prefer, and it was not stated in the description in the module). Still have to do the second floor with the inn rooms, rest of the furniture and the roof with texturing.
