'Look What Tommygun Does with Paper' was where I was introduced to his work. His other threads were quite interesting, too
Was that the OneDrive that Bugbait did?

Yes, and thanks to tra956 and alexio for also sending me all of the Tommygun models they had access to. I finally found good pics for the Orkfort so it'll be up today. I'm shooting for at least four uploads per day and I'm pretty sure that is a workable pace for me. One thing about doing all of this is it has helped to re-focus me on what I need to do to complete my Desert Fort kit, aaaand I also really want to re-texture that Turkey Vulture in Terra Force colors. That can wait though.

I don't know if you noticed some of the small files, but some of those would be fairly easy to fill in on days that four doesn't happen. At four a day, I'd hate to figure out how long this will take, but I really think his collection is important to the hobby. Besides his models, there is the underlying ideas. The way he developed a picture of what he wanted to do and figured out how to get there was amazing. I really wish he'd posted the asteroid mine...

Asteroid mine? Never heard of that project. The main thing I'm doing with the uploads is trying to make sure that all the components of a set are together, packaging them into zip files, and finding an appropriate photo to work as a preview. I have found another place that is doing much the same thing; Papercraft Square

Except Papercraft Square does that for everything, even things that are commercial. Most folks consider them a 'Pirate' site

This is a lot of material, when will you have to start sub-dividing it?

This is a lot of material, when will you have to start sub-dividing it? Maybe I'll break it into two pages; "Buildings" and "Not Buildings"

I used to download a lot from them, guess I'll have to be more careful For the first few years, they linked, but later on they started down the dark path, and stopped doing links. I used to go there a lot, but then they started 'hosting' things that were difficult to obtain and then started doing commercial pieces, so I stopped going there. When they closed down, I actually smiled. Maybe now that they are back, I should check them out again.

That's one of the reasons I never built it ...
On the other hand it is a model that is a centerpiece.

thank you so much for this. His works were so useful. Anyone know what happened to Tommygun? i hope he just moved on to other things rather than something health related.
