This is so hilarious, I just have to share it! Obviously, burger parlor Wendy's is now cornering RPG gamers with their marketing campaign. I don't know, how "new" this is, but you can download their RPG Feast of Legends here: www.feastoflegends.com/Sadly, there are no Wendy's in Germany, so I cannot get any bonuses for the game by buying their food. We had one Wendy's in town in the early 80's, but obviously the company decided that Germany was too small a market to gain a profit. Well, burgers and other fast food were new and totally unknown in the Germany of the early 80's. Nowadays, there's a huge fight going on between McDonalds, Burger King, and Subways, as to who controls the German fast food market. I think, Wendy's would have done well, not to drop out early... Now, I don't know how good or bad their food is, but I think that this marketing campaign will lure at least a few more people to the hobby, especially kids.

Evidently, this is new, video posted 2019/10/03 www.feastoflegends.com/new-to-this.htmlEven character sheets, and an online dice-roller Went through the site map at Wendy's site, and I see no way to get to Feast of Legends from there. odd

Incredibly, my dice rolling using their online system is just as lousy as in real life...

I got a lot of 6's, except on the 4-sided that always seemed to roll a 3

After flipping through the PDF, I must say that I'm positively surprised by the overall quality. Especially the illustrations and the maps are really nice.
Being part of the RPG market, myself, I know that (for neither side) there is not much money in the production of such a book, but since this is a free game, all expenses put into the design, artwork, and execution are kind of lost. I'd really like to know, how many extra burgers they have to sell to have this campaign break even...

Well, they got one of the largest D&D streamers to play the game and eat their food live last night. What is that worth marketing and advertising wise? I know I forwarded their link to at least a dozen friends to make sure they saw it. I bet I am not the only person to do so. We are talking about Wendys on a forum not focused on food in any way (unless it is a paper model). I don't know what they will get as a ROI but you have to admit, it is quite an effort. LOL

LOL Yup, they have to see some numbers coming out of this. But as I said, there are no Wendy's here in Germany, so I cannot get any buffs by eating their food. I have to search for a non-frozen-sin alternative that is also along the same price range. If you buy burgers from all the small independent burger parlors that pop up everywhere around here, lately, you'll eat and play yourself into poverty in the long run. A simple franchise hamburger from the Ice Jester or the Cardcrown King is around 1 Euro. A freshly made burger from those independents is around 5 to 6 Euro, but comes with high-quality meat, fresh salad, and a crispy bun. And in some of those shops, you can actually watch them making your burger (kind of in the Subway style, but still)... So, buffin' up could ruin an average gamer...

I showed this to the GM kid at work, and he says that Wendys is known for doing 'off the grid' marketing. But this is the first time he'd seen anything like this

Alright, I think my brain just melted ...
That's the weirdest thing I've seen in a long time. Actually, I'm glad they only did illustrations of a few of their monsters. The pitiful remains of my brains still left after melting start hurting again just trying to imagine what a "Large Fry Fiend" and its "Salt Shaker" special attack must look like. Can anyone pass me the ketchup, please?

Wendy's in Australia is an ice cream parlour chain so I guess that Queen Wendy's southern realms have already fallen to the armies of the Ice Jester.
BTW, I wonder if this means that Wendy's kid meals will eventually come with a collectable figurine

Yup, pawns and scenery, and both extremely cheap, since it's packaging, anyway. Oooh, how vile and evil those burger companies are, turning trash into toys... Hey, wait, if I recycle packaging material into tabletop scenery, am I as vile and evil as they are??!?
