Keen! I've never worked in a cubicle environment, but they don't sound like much fun. I've just started in a cube farm; it's an awesome job! I don't have to pick up after people or touch their stuff (like in retail) and no one is trying to hit me or breaking furniture (like wotking in mental health.) Call center work is easy and ckean, and also pays pretty well.

I hope it works well for you. Don't wait until it starts getting to you, like I did ( not cubicals, but solo office ). All phones, vm, email will get to you at some point. Balance that with something where you see folks face-to-face and interact and have fun. And it's better to do that before the monotony sets in. If you can maintain balance, perhaps the monotony won't set in

I always limit my model submissions to a single page, but...wow...that's a great model no matter how many pages. I really like the basket on the back.

I hate to say anything negative about the World of Verne Hoard. I'm just so happy to have some of those great ice age animals I need so badly for my stone age AD&D campaign that I can't believe that I finally have them. I also can't believe that you got some of the more obscure creatures that most people never talk about but I have on my encounter charts and one that I didn't. I don't mind that I have to color the inside legs on those big mammals. That's okay. Why did you mess up the mammoth and mastodon tails? They aren't even the same length. If they were simply misaligned I could line them back up because they are thin enough, but now the furry tuffs at the end wren't in the right places. I can't thank you enough for this hoard. It really is a great help for me. These figures will really boost my table top. I've been limping by with some Reaper Black Bones figures that my wife and I have been painting at a feverish rate and figures culled from toy dinosaur and African animal sets and odds and ends. Messing up on the tails like that isn't like you. What happened?

Is February already closed? I'm not really good at figures, but I could give you a marble or granite topped bar stocked with liquor bottles from my Imperial Liquor store with matching tables in a week or so if it is still open if you would like. I still work the same way, so it would come on a 7.5" by 10" png file format because I still work on PS Paint. Sorry, but it is the only thing I have. That is why I submit so few things. Every since I had so much trouble with that Sehlat, I have been gun shy about sending in Hoard submissions. I'll check back Sunday for an answer.

I am looking at them right now. And they line up. Did you do them tent fashion? From your comment, I know you did not mirror print on the back. If you mirror print on the back, glue the tails together and along the spine only, finish up by gluing on the head, they work. Gently spread the legs and glue to the base, and it yields a 2.5 d animal. Could you post a photo and I can probably tell you where it went wrong Here's some more photos, showing what they should look like And you can see more on my tent-type 2.5d builds at, cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/thread/9949/184-worlds-verne-january-2020 and cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/thread/9988/dino-projectAnd February has an extra day, so when we close it late (early March) it could give you time

Okay, color me catnipped. How do you mirror print and get it lined up straight? Ikno it can't be as simple as loading the paces back into the back of my printer and printing the pdf again and hoping they line up. What kind of sorcery is this? I am baffled and amazed? So far I have only put a megatherium together all the way and we colored the back side in carefully with colored pencils. I am embarrassed to admit it, I was going to scan the images in and flip them in paint and try to flip them that way to get a mirror image to print and glue it to the backs of the pages I have printed to get a back image for them. If there is a better way, I really would like to know. I would also be pleased to hunt down my old bar and tables and spruce them up for the Hoard. I just have to make sure they are to scale and not 25mm.

As far as mirror printing, I have played with my printer settings and played with them, but I still have a 1/16th inch mismatch when I mirror print.
On my printer, a Brother MFC-J430w, I print the page on Best setting, then reload the page, oriented so that the next print will be on the back ( I still mess up occasionally and mirror print over my original print). I then go to File/ Print, which opens a Print window. That's where I set for Best, High, Normal or Fast print. For the mirror, I always use Fast (it doesn't have to be great, just get rid of the whiteness). There is also a button for Advanced Settings. Clicking on this opens a new window where you can do many things, but on it is a box to check for Mirror Print. Check it and close that window, then Print. The small mismatch I go over the white with a colored marker or sharpie. Remember to go back and uncheck the Mirror Print box when you are done. I've had that surprise before ... more than once

Thanks. That's not going to work with this little number. It has a fixed paper guide that automatically guides the paper as far to the right (from my prospective sitting in front of it). I won't be able to slide the pages to the left. Luckily, my wife and I have a large selection of colored pencils, so I think we will come out fair to middling. We sure won't get the awesome results you have, though. Those do look great. I went to the Advanced Settings and did not find the Mirror Setting. I went through all of the available menus in the Print menu including all of those under the Advanced menu, the Properties menu, and the Page Setup menu. I even went to the device management program on the system to see if it could be done there. No such luck. Maybe the information will come in handy when we get a new printer. I'm hoping to get one that will handle A4 sized paper, too. I have several good ship models that call for it and this printer wont do it. It is hardwired for letter-sized paper only apparently. It is a good thing we only paid $30 for it. The new ink cartridge cost more than the printer did. Thanks for the information. Broke into the bar and it needs a little sprucing up. I'm a little concerned about the height. I think it needs to be a little taller than the tables, but not too much. I'll be turning it in pretty clean and stocked. If someone wants to weather it a bit and make it a bit more like a bar that's been in a fight, I'll leave that up to you guys.

Can you flip it in Gimp as a back side and print that way?

BlackCat13, did you ever try the Gimp flip to make these guys work?

I've never tried to work with PDFs in GIMP but I will based on your recommendation. Shortly after attempting to print and build the models the wrong way, my stone age campaign got put on hold when several of my players ran into scheduling issues, so I put my efforts into other projects. I had trouble locating the files for the bar, including my image files of the liquor bottles I had used for the Imperial Liquor Store, so I couldn't finish the bar I was working on for the Bar Fights Hoard. I haven't been entirely dormant, however. I just got a new 4 terabyte external hard drive to replace my 15 year-old external 2 terabyte hard drive. I'll be dropping projects on the forum as often as I can or until you tell me to stop,

GIMP does get easier to work with the more you use it, but you do need to persevere sometimes. Have to say I've never upgraded beyond version 2.8 however, as I've heard too many bad things about more recent versions, and didn't want to relearn everything for the limited uses I've put it to.

I forget what project I was doing that got me started with Gimp. But it was something that I thought should be simple and after posing questions in the forum here, Gimp seemed to be the option. Then I went through hackbarth's recolor tutorials and ran into issues. Part of the issues were default settings. Then came the learning curve for more difficult things. Some things that I would have thought would be simple, required a little more finesse, like needing to do an extreme zoom to get a true straight line horizontally or vertically. Then you find things that one would think would be difficult that actually are super easy. I think that I am going to start a few Gimp tutorials to help others and to remind myself of how to do things that I don't do often.
