I have the attention span of a gerbil, so I haven't set down long enough to learn a 3D software program yet. I do have four years of old fashion drafting classes to draw upon, a calculator and Pythagoras to get me thought it. I have been considering Google SketchUp as I've heard you can export it to Pepakura for unfolding.

I like this layout. It is pleasing to the eyes without being too complex. Back in the 80's, I used to draw out my tiles and furniture on thick poster board. They looked just like this.

I think two simple modified A-frames connected together with a shield wall in front and the throwing arm in the middle, could work as the catapult. You might be able to make it with as little as three sandwich folded parts. If that doesn't make sense I could draw out a picture.

There are a few advantages to doing it this way: -One is that the holes for the rope lines are much easier to cut out. -The top pieces is a sandwich fold for extra strength. A sandwich fold makes it much easier to align the two pieces together. -The bottom piece has the engine box part attached to it and the alignment for the box really needs to be done after the bottom is in place with the walls. -When attaching the top part to the walls, the glue flaps are much easier to clamp (See the Alligator clamps). I found construction to be easy. Although I did add chipboard to the model. This adds more strength, but meant that I had to do a lot of extra trimming to get the inside pieces to fit. If you build it without the chipboard you wont have to trim the paper. I need a day or so to go over the file. It will hold between 11 and 13 minis with 25mm bases.

Here are a few WIP shots. The designing part is done. I'm trying to get it to fit on two pages, but I don't think I can. Later I'll post the finished boat pictures, but the file needs a few tweaks.

I'm happy you liked them. In a month or two I may come back to these and add a small four person Apollo like Moon rover in 2.5D style.

Pennies are the cheapest way as long as the item isn't too small. Then go get a box of nuts as they usually sell them by count and not by weight. The nuts are more compact than washers and weigh a bit more.

Thoughts welcome and if anyone's busting for another colour (lays bets on pink) or camo put it up as a suggestion:). These are great Sirrobo. Two suggestion for colors: An all white winter camo and dark navy blue Police SWAT team colors.

Very nice ... AGAIN. Thanks. I'm not sure there is a venue that you don't contribute to I draw the line at paper dolls. ...although I have downloaded quite a few for drawing references. ...........that doesn't mean I make them or play dress up with them. ................or named them after the characters of Little Women. ...because I don't!

Wow!! Very good work tommygun ;D, Do you have any pic of the finished model?? Thanks Reivaj, I still have a little bit of work to do on it, then a test build. After that I may need to do a few changes. I'll take pictures when I get through with it and post the file.

I have gone back to the space suits. Originally I had planned to do these, but I was side tracked. What you see here is about 75% done. They will be 2.5D on a flight stand and all will be ether zero-G or using a flight pack (NASA's MMU style). There will also be options for arming the jump packs. A quick note about the picture:There will be three styles of the flight stand. That round thing is a NASA rescue ball not a beach ball!I had to model the life support pack separate, because the arms will fold forward with the flight pack. The legs will also be slightly bent.

Nice set Glenn. Some of your links at your site seem to be broken at the moment. Historic structures are one of them.

I got everything in and I was able to clean things up and change a few items. I didn't have the time to make major changes.
On a side note I did get a request for some of my spacemen to be done in zero-G and on a flight stand. I have been meaning to do these for several months and I hope to have them in soonish. They will also be in 2.5D style.

There was a couple "Prison Break" video games and a French made board game also based on the TV series. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/32184/prison-breakIf you do go ahead with this, I would suggest having the option of escaping by land or by water, maybe even bed sheet hang gliders.

Hi Monktaraz, Those are really well done. You don't see a lot of 3D minis. I like the troll the most. Thanks for posting those too.

Here is the other one I'm trying to get done. I had to out line her in white then black, because of her clothing colors. I'm having a hard time with proportions on these guys. She is 30mm tall from eyes to bottom of her Manolo Blahnik shoes. Even after making them wider on the arms and legs they still look very skinny next to the Heroic scale Terraforce figures. What's a skinny girl to do? She getting Body dimorphic disorder.

Hey Tommy, how did you end up doing the legs on these guys? I used modded legs from the Terraforce Marines. I think I may have desaturated them to get the gray color?

Oh yes. I'll touch up the front of the shirt with some white. My black outlining I try to use minimally. I usually try and use it between two similar colors.

Oh thank you! I made a 2D version of that guy, but this is a 100 times better. How big is he to a 28mm mini? Thanks again, Tom
