Work in Progress. Red Shadow Paper miniature (prototype) Still need to work on the helmet and I think the ak-47 is too big (opinion welcomed). I will also try to simplify the construction so that I could potentially bang out a platoon in less than an hour (as opposed to a single one taking about 3 hours to assemble). The first picture has the paper fig next to a game workshop 28mm miniature for an idea of scale.

That is way cool, sir. Yes, the AK is big (maybe reduce to 90%), but big guns are cool. Things could get fiddly if you reduce it too much.
Does your design allow for slight changes in pose? It looks like the arms could rotate a little at the shoulder. Mirror a few of them, and play with arm position and you could have a platoon that doesn't look like a whole bunch of the same guy.
I like the pose you have much more than the GW figure. The GW guy looks too static

I agree: the figure is very cool(!!!) partialy for the dynamic pose. The AK does seem a bit too big. If you want to keep the barrel wide maybe you could trim a bit from the butt and magazine to make it smaller without becoming flimsy.

Does your design allow for slight changes in pose? yes. The arms, legs torso and head are all separate pieces. The idea being to make it easier to create a platoon / warband using a single template while still having a bit of diversity.

Second version of the Red Shadow. I think the helmet of the first version looked better. riffle looks a bit more in scale.
