OldSchoolDM was kind enough to share his settings over on the Facebook Papercraft forum (many thanks, sir!), but they are for an earlier version of the Silhouette Studio software and with a Curio unit. I tried to get them to work with my Cameo 3 and no joy. Anyone out there managed to get the emboss tool to, you know, actually emboss with this model and latest Studio software? I am using 80 or 110# cardstock and while I can see it very lightly touch the paper, there is no embossing happening, regardless of pressure / depth settings.

My Curio has a hard-plastic carrier sheet, so I can tell my cutter to press unreasonably hard...

My Curio has a hard-plastic carrier sheet, so I can tell my cutter to press unreasonably hard... Yeah, kinda wishing I had splurged the extra and gotten the Curio instead of the Cameo 3. Just a thin plastic sheet for the carrier. Weird thing is, even though I turn up the depth/pressure, I do not see any deformation of the paper or the sheet when I watch it attempt to do embossed lines. Almost like it is not even trying to emboss. Went back to just cutting until I come up with a better plan or decided to upgrade to another unit.

There is another thing to try, but probably not worth the fuss: Making an embossing carrier sheet. The curio has a special soft-foam covered carrier sheet for embossing (which I don't use often, except for "real" embossing of foil and such.) If you lived in near Oakland I'd happily lend you mine...
Anyway getting or making one of those might help. But you DON'T want to cut with a blade on it - it will shred. I know, kinda defeats the two-heads-in-one-load effect.
Honestly, where I am now, myself - If mine didn't work, I'd just hand "emboss/score" before loading the sheet for cutting.
