Saluton amikoj!
There's a bit of a preface here, so sit and rest your bones a spell. I'm a young guy, I have a loving lady and we love games. My sister and her boyfriend are not very nerdy if you will. But they seem super open to it, so I'm going to try to get them into RPGs. (Genesys by FFG for those asking) I hope that coopting something familiar will help bridge the gap, and non-combat heavy will too. So Cluedo, the RPG!
Now I'm going to go to the Nines for this thing and plan to build a huge set piece for Tudor Close. If you have any assets that would work in 1930s New England, let me know! It's the traditional board remade into a map, so you could find inspiration there. I do intend to keep it one-story for simplicity.

So, are each of the rooms in the boardgame turned into buildings on a map? I'm having a hard time picturing very many New England buildings that are single-story. My Cape Cods have second stories. Even the Maple Syrup Barn has an upstairs. Salt-box and New England Colonial are multi-story, too. Can you just make upstairs off limits?

Roger that bossman, I must have bungled the explanation a bit. We'll functionally be playing Clue. Mrs. White, Col. Mustard, Miss Scarlet... are the Player characters. I have 6 possible whodunits ready, depending on which characters are picked. The entire playable area will just be the house from the Master Detective edition. That is to say: Kitchen, Dining Room, Drawing Room (Salon), Library, Billiard Room, Studio (Study), Conservatory (Greenhouse), and Trophy Room, plus Carriagehouse (Garage), Courtyard, Gazebo, and Fountain. The key is trying to find assets that easily translate to Early 1900s style, like a billiard table. I'm a big fan of Mr. Kris from Crooked Staff's stuff with being able to just take a wood texture and make whatever I want. But, if someone has a grandfather clock, or mounted trophy head, or kitchen sink I would be glad to hear about it. Almost modern stuff so to say. As for the construction of the actual building, I will likely make it more than one story, but the action is locked to the first one. I'm drawing a lot of aesthetic inspiration from the movie too.

How much searching do you want to do? Those Familie Journal magazines have a lot of that stuff, but you have to hunt through a lot that won't help you out

Is it that time of year again? It's like an annual thing, isn't it?
Those would fit the bill pretty well, though

Hey guys, thanks a million for these ideas. Honestly cthulhu stuff wasn't even on my radar, but that is a great place to start.
I really do appreciate it, I wasn't even sure where to start (some key words on DriveThruRPG, but no luck). Research is it's own reward to me, so I will genuinely thumb through anything you send my way.
Thanks again. The game is months out, but I'm super excited!

Update. Mr. Antohammer has released a pulp line that's just perfect, and I (finally) have it set up. The center half-ring is the usual suspects. On the right are four supporting cast members and the left feature five mooks. Eagle eyed folk might recognize assets from Crooked Staff Publishing in the back too.
