Hi everyone, I'm looking for the best place to get started with creating Paper Models that are semi posed, kinda like the big guy in this reference image? Is there a good place to find simple Paper Models that are all Rectangles and easy-ish shapes? Is this kinda simple model patented?

There have been a few attempts at this type of figure, and I really liked Jim Bowen's figures (Newobmij). I don't see how one would be able to patent the style.
My guess is that they weren't well received by the gaming community, since most of the figures that used to be found are now hard to find.

I take it you're following the Goblin thread in the Gallery, Milo? They're not boxy but they're good! The textures are available at drive thru from Crooked Staff and kris has a great how to video on line which is quite inspiring! He also does a couple of statue builds and textures which might be a cool place to start. GR

Since I was tagged, this is what I've come up with so far... Goblins... Stirges... Twig blights... Animated statues perhaps... Animated book swarm... And ...it's a stretch ...but ...will-o-wisps ...but I'm more of a terrain guy than a mini's guy.

BTW if you like kris's textures but don't have the proper sizes of straws on hand it is easy to roll scrap paper (don't use cardstock) into approximately the right diameter. The limbs don't need to be completely hollow or entirely solid.
