May of 2022; The desert was...hot...and...sandy. So much sand. The ruins of the old outpost loomed before us in the sandy twilight like an Oasis...except an Oasis would have had water and date trees instead of rotting stone and...sand. Here is my inspiration for this month's project; And a start on one wall to figure out scaling and texture process; I've lost track of how many times I've used that "cracked sidewalk" texture in my pieces. I stepped out of my old job 15 years ago, looked down at the sidewalk, and snapped a pic for my library.

First test-builds, very pleased that everything fit the way it was supposed to. Still have to build stairs and support posts for the second floor.

I can happily say that these two pages are completely done. There is another page of walls (95% done), a page of floors (started), and the stairs (not started) still to do. edit> I re-scaled the project after the first build to 75%

This will be my Papercuts entry. This is me committing to finish this model this month.
The main problem is that the stairs are too narrow at 15mm, I wasn't paying attention to that during the first layout. I'll be expanding them to 25mm so that a mini could actually stand on them and that will require a ripple effect of small adjustments on four other pieces.
