I was advised to make figurines with a thin white outline. Would it really be better? how it's done now what will happen if you make a white outline

Black outlining is much better for printed and cut minis, as they can be easily edged in black with a suitable marker pen or paint to hide any raggedness about the cut line, and conceal the glue line. A white outline needs filling in some other way, unless you don't mind being able to see the line where the glued edges meet (this always looks untidy to me if it isn't concealed, but that maybe just me ).

It depends on the figure. Darkness of the figure and detail. I have never seen the white outline that wide.
On the figure that you are using for illustration, the all black outline would be my preference

I generally prefer the plain black outline but bravesirkevin of paperdungeon.com uses a thin white line that quickly fades to black. I feel it works especially well for models with dark clothing/fur/skin.
