What it says on the tin.
My printer died. I got really sick for quite a while and my energy never really returned. I don't game as much, and when I do the scenery is usually provided by others. I don't do solo gaming any more because I am lazy.
I thought something like the Pandemic would have given our community some extra juice, but it seems to have diminished. If I could point to a single day, it would be the day that we lost Shep that we all kind of stopped. Our moment of silence is ongoing.
I still check this forum every day, or almost every day anyways. I have high hopes of starting this fun and engaging hobby again, but I don't know when.

I know what you mean, sir. I have a great printer now, and I go through spurts of building, but it rarely seems to last.
Have you checked out the cheapest Brother printer you can find? My son got me one many years ago for about a fourth of what comparable printers cost, and it was one of the best I ever had
One of the things we lack these days is the bouncing of ideas off each other. Shep was great at that. But so are you and many others. It has been a long time since anyone said,' Hey, I need something for a game. Do you know of something that would work or can you help me out?' A long time.

During the pandemic one of my weekly groups disolved and two members of my other weekly group moved out of town so we switched to online. My gaming son also moved out of the house. I used to make minis and terrain for him, on occasion. I just don't have much need for minis anymore so I haven't been experimenting with anything.
Online gameing is OK but I miss in-person a lot.

Honestly, part of the disconnect we have these days is the number of folks who have moved for various reasons. In-person activities have really been killed off. I can look at my family activities for one. My clients who have moved to be nearer the grandkids is another (usually to find that being nearer doesn't get them more time together). Look at the number of small businesses that weathered Covid, but haven't survived post-Covid. In my business, I see more and more moving to Online. Of course that makes the folks who want face-to-face more loyal.
But then again, there are more Art Fairs and block parties. And what the heck is the attraction of Pickle Ball? People want to do things in person, but most of the in-person things they used to do aren't there any more.

Update: I have installed GIMP on the current computer. I have plans to use it. Check in with me this time next year.

It's cheaper and more efficient for storage and you get to appreciate the fruits of your labour personally. I made a few vids of Darkfast Dungeons as a solo game and it was fun. I am working on a Save the Day solo option as well. Link to the Tik Tok Solo Play videos

Currently a friend and I are playing "Forbidden Psalm: The Last War" and it has a good solo engine as well. So maybe I'll try that. Also, Two Hour Wargames "Nuts" rules for all that WWII stuff collecting dust. We'll see. I am very lazy alone.
