If you don't have a manual, GET ONE!
Decide what you want to do with it, that will make it much easier to learn just what you need to get you by, then learn new techniques as you get better. DON'T try to learn everything at once, or you end up crying in a dark corner somewhere.
Also brush up on your drawing skils, get a lightbox tracing table, and learn to trace. tracing is actually a lot harder than you would think. learn anatomy.
That's all, it should only take you a few days YEARS to get good then.... JIM

I use CorelDraw almost exclusively and without a manual or going through the tutorials supplied with the software I would be completely lost. Well, more lost than normal...
