I just read somewhere that WorldWorks is going to be releasing a Junkyard set. That would answer a long standing wish of mine to have a junk yard style battle ground, and would go great with MDRG.
I tried going through the forums there, but don't have time enough to sort it out, anybody know when it's going to be released? Or if it's actually going to made, I might just be imagining this.
I hope they do rusted empty cars and such. JIM

It's 75% finished... Matt Lyons is working on it alongside other projects. So it'll be in the medium term I'd have thought. It's going to be wrecked cars/car crushers etc... 'Mayhem Junkyard'

Cool, I finally found the thread.
It shouldn't be too hard to Sci-fi it with some crashed up hover vehicles, and some stuff from the Mars set, or even some of Finger and toe walls to give it a Fallout 3 feel, that's what I'm really going for. I envision a 3 foot square area packed with junk for MDRG. JIM

There are some good burnt out cars in the available mayhem sets, and lots of dumpsters etc... I've got a fair few made up from our gangs of mega city one games. They are going to be reborn into MADRG, they never really looked right for mega-city one anyway.

Jim! You could do some "bodgers" for a "Junkyard Wars" scenario!
Have fun! Steve

Hmm... junkyard = possible ready-made goblin settlement in my fantasy world. Are there any pics of this so far?

He's presumably referring to the same kind of 'bodgers' that my goblins are. Bodging in this context is basically building useful stuff out of scrap. Assuming he's thinking what I think he's thinking, "Junkyard Wars" (or "Scrapheap Challenge" as our UK version is called) is a TV show in which two teams of engineers (professional or otherwise) are dumped in the middle of an enormous scrapyard and given ten hours to build a machine (according to the week's theme) from whatever they can find. They could be told to make anything from a catapult or cannon, to a hovercraft or flying machine. It's usually a pretty good source of lulz.

I think he means you should decide a couple of teams of figures similar to those seen in that old show. Remember that one? Where each team is set in a junk yard and given 2 days to design and build something from what was available in the junkyard. I particularly liked the one episode where it was a group of military engineers vs. some Scottish? highland or maybe just English motorcycle family and they had to build hover crafts that could navigate both land and water. Guess who won? And guess whom had to go back in and rescue the team that started to sink? Lets just say the military minds may not always be the most capable of working with what they have on hand. Simple is almost always better.

Very nice. I was hoping for piles of rusted scrap to make for broken terrain, but will just design my own since I have a very specific idea about how to design it.
I'll be buying this set once it's available. JIM

Boy does that look like a fun set. Lots of useful items in there for nearly every other of their more recent sets.
