I'm not sure if this will fall on deaf ears, but I was thinking that it would be incredibly useful to have 2D horse tiles. When using paper minis, I just slot the mini onto one of Xtea's marvelous horses. But when using plastic or metal minis, I don't know of good way to represent a mounted character, other than to buy a mounted mini or set the PC beside the horse mini. I D&D 4E horses are large (2x2") creatures.
WOTC has a few 2D wagons, but no horses that I'm aware of. Anyone interested in taking this one?

I have experimented with 2.5d horses that would hold a plastic/metal mini. No success so far. I'm thinking one step up from a simple "tile" would be a box with a hole in it, and maybe a head stuck on. Some day when I have time . . .

Those are nifty rides, very versatile. I also like that I can use the "3D" horses when nobody is riding and switch to 2D marker whenever a character decides to mount.
Thanks for sharing!

These are race horses wearing 'colors', but I think I am going to try using the basic concept, but heavier horse parts. I am going to try making a warhorse using this technique. www.paperhp.com/tutorial.htmlI might even try to do some riders ... not jockeys I'll have to experiment with scale
