I've got the 1939 two door together. (I'm calling it 1939, but its pretty much a generic mid 30s to early 40's style....) (the green one....but its a little different than the pic) I haven't put any of these up on my blog yet(haven't decided how I'm going to "package" them) , but I thought I'd share the first one directly with you guys. (The model's done...not sure about the page layout yet....) Here's the GooDocs link: docs.google.com/open?id=0B7_Wdv8oYpJhOWg1TjliM0NXamMSomeone build one and tell me just how screwy it is.... Thanks, GM.

Nice! Got it printed and cut out. I'll let you know how it goes together in a little bit! ;D

It turned out very well. Fun to build and didn't take very long. It mostly went together intuitively. I love how the bottom frame curves around the wheels and the body just fits on top of that. Also, the under carriage was a nice touch. Please excuse my fast and dirty edging, and the line across the top and sides is just where my toner decided to run out on me. ;D Modified to add under carriage photo.

Very cool! Thank's for the pics EO. Good to know its not too hard to figure out. I try to make them easy, but I designed the thing so its hard to know how someone else sees it.. Thanks

Haven't built it yet, but my first impression is that this should be a very solid vehicle. I always get confused on jpg's. This one we print full-page, right?
As far as packaging, why not ask the guys here for ideas on the name of the series. The first thing that popped into my head was Gangland Autos, but I'm sure someone can top that. You should do a logo for the grills. I don't think General Motors would like you to use GM, though.
Nice recolor, EO

Its a full page. Just make sure that "shrink to fit" isn't selected and it should print at the right scale.

No problem! Like I said it was fun and it is very solid. I wish I could claim a good recolor, I love doing those, but it was just my toner giving out on me at the last minute. I've been nursing it along for the last 30 or so pages. My new toner gets here tomorrow! ;D
GM would work as long as it was Gangster Motors! I would propose "Gangsters and G-men" , but I think there is a game by that name, so how about "Made Men Motors" (Trunks big enough for two!) or "Drivebys and Getaways" (When you need to hide out fast!) or "Hard Boiled Autos" ( Vehicles that get the job done!) ;D

I actually had to shrink it to 87% to get it to fit on the page, but it might just be my computer.
What a hoot! Runningboards and everything!
One build note: You should square off the front fender tabs.

I was thinking something like this: And here's an updated version of the sedan (a little more detail, hubcaps, a 30s brown colour). docs.google.com/open?id=0B7_Wdv8oYpJhNGpMSnBVVEpyZGcGM. @vk...do you mean the one front tab on all the fenders? I did it that way to make it clear it was a tab seperate from the frame...plus they all have to be a fraction tapered so the end bits can curl all the way over. I guess it does make cutting a little weird, but I'd just cut one slice at that point anyway.....

Actually, I meant on the vertical part of the hood. The tab extends over to where the grill attaches ... unless I built it wrong. Trimming the front of the tab 'square' it butts perfectly to the grill.
Also I sent you a PM on my build.
I'll have to grab the new version of the coupe. These are a blast.
Pulp Motors works for me

Vermin King....I think I get what you mean now. It doesn't need the flap that folds under the frame because the grill can glue flat to the fender under it...! Actually that makes sense, and probably makes it easier to fit the body on top. Got it. I've got an extra one printed out, I'll give it a try.

I also used the triangle between the A-pillar, windshield and the hood tab mentioned earlier as a tab that folds over from the A-pillar to glue the windshield to. Not sure if you meant it to be done that way, but it works

Last concept tonight: Its a square back sedan. Basically the same build as the other one, except the back end glues in tight to the fender curve before folding under (I think the pic/graphic explains). I decided you were right about the front end VK, so I left off the tab...and you're both right about the tab at the A piller. I made one of these, but I don't have a photo yet. I think this is pretty much the final layout...there will be a few more colours though. Here's the link: docs.google.com/open?id=0B7_Wdv8oYpJhR0F4UjlqTlo3Y2cTell me what you think, GM

Here's the next one, a pickup truck. The cab goes together like the other ones, just with no back wheel section. The box is pretty simple, just pay attention to where it folds (two wooden panels on the inside, two on the outside, none on the tailgate). Here's the tester (with no inxstructions). Go to town: docs.google.com/open?id=0B7_Wdv8oYpJhMm0yYXZzRlJobUELet me know if it makes sense, Thanks, GM.

These are really nice you know, the only problem is that now I feel the need to get some ww2 or VBCW or pulp era figs to go with them!! I can hear Indiana Jones style games a calling!!

Uh, oh, with that truck we not only need gangsters and G-men, we also need the Waltons.
Wow, you have been busy. I've got some catching up to do. One question: Would you object to re-paints? I bet there are going to be some folks that are going to want to play around with these. Even on the revision of the first car, I played around with the trim to give it more of a chrome appearance. Me doing mods? This is really the first thing to get me to go there since my days designing things to go into The Sims. Thank you.
EDIT: Also, the timing was excellent. It was a friend of mine's birthday today, so I just wrote on the bottom, 'Happy Birthday, Oldtimer' and gave it to him instead of a card. EVERYONE there made sure I knew when their birthdays were!

I've had photobucket issues for a year and a half and haven't opened any other account.
Didn't do much, just did fake chrome on the side moldings and handles. Although I do have the tabs done the way I had mentioned to you.
Tonight I need to get the squareback and truck built
EDIT: I don't like trying to get a tab with glue on it tucked into the backside of the part it is getting glued to. On the truck bed, I added tabs in front of the tires on the side, added tabs under the bumper and the front of the bed. That way the bottom plate just glues onto the new tabs. Stayed square and feels solid.

I went on an internet search last night for gangsters and g-men figures and didn't come up with much at all. Has anyone else been looking?
