Hey, I know you... or your work at least. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you have sets that include: *- Robots *- SKeletons *- and a cool little bridge with a guard I could be wrong... I am a LOT! Nice minis. Thanks. I might suggest that you also make a set of figures using the artwork as the minis, and not just the 3D minis. If you had backs for the hand-drawn artwork, those would sell pretty well on their own... and better if colored. Just my opinion... like I said, "Wrong. A LOT!"

Thanks. I like the combo of paper minis, illustrations, and the option to upgrade to metal.
Got me to look at your site. I'll be back for some minis when I start my next adventure...

If you aren't Johnny L., megaminis, say "Hi!" to him for me! I did work for him back in the days when I had the eyes of an eagle and hands as steady as granite. I have nothing but pleasant memories and associations of the things we did together!
Have fun! Steve

Surprise! I used my front/back union technique to make cut-close paper minis of these with my cutter. I really like how they turned out. The brighter color and exaggerated features go very well with the small size paper printout.... Here's some photos of these 8 figures in a dungeon, matched up with some Paizo minis... Cutfiles attached. You'll need to get the free figures from here, turn the page into a bitmap, fill the green areas with black and then align it with the cutfile and print it from there... Do not attempt if you are new to cutfiles... :-) Attachments:

KILADECUS: Yes its me Johnny Lauck. My avatar is a version of what I would look like if I was a space pirate. Around 2008, I was creating 3D and 2D paper minis for RPGnow but I was struggling to find the time. I still have a bunch of scenery that I never released. I know that most paper minis these days utilize art, but as an old school gamer and miniature manufacture, I am partial to images of figures. The art is primarily for DMs to use to create visual stats.
STEVELORTZ: So this is where you've been hiding out! LOL. I was really disappointed when I could not sell sufficient quantities of the Usagi Yojimbo miniatures way back in 2003. If only I had a crystal ball and could see that it would eventually become an animated cartoon, I would have maintained the license. Still, the figures that you sculpted were fantastic and it would have been nice to produce more than just the 13 that were released. Shortly after that, I decided the initial investment for new pieces was too high for a fickle market and I started buying up molds from other companies to cheaply. Like you, I'm finding it harder to cut and gate molds as my eye sight is beginning to fail me. Mega miniatures is slowly reverting back into a hobby rather than a business, and that has allowed me some spare time to finish many projects that I have neglected such as these paper minis.
OLDSCHOOLDM: WOW! What a wonderful surprise to see the paper minis being used in less than 24 hours from my initial posting. I'll be doing about one set a month but plan on releasing a five figure set of ZOMBIE SURVIVORS in a couple weeks and then eight ROBOTS in late February just so I cover a couple more genre early in this project, with my main focus turning back to FANTASY.

Awesome. Picked up this warband and some beastmen to play some small skirmish games -- that is the only thing I have room to play in 28mm.
By the way, I also saw the Body Count line in 15mm... any plans on doing other miniatures in that scale?

By the way, I also saw the Body Count line in 15mm... any plans on doing other miniatures in that scale? Personally, I prefer 15mm because I'm super cheap, just ask my wife. I'm sculpting my own 15mm figures but they are really bad and not worth showing off. Maybe when I'm retired in 20 years, I will release what I've created to the website. Most gamers prefer the 25mm on up scales so if I want to generate any interest I have to stick with that size.
