I'm liking these guys, particularly Acel DeSparrow - love the way he flies, only wish more minis could take advantage of that rise!

Before Jim Bowen had a number of setbacks, he was planning on updating the Flip-It rules with some new pieces, including a White faction. He updates more regularly at newobmij.tumblr.com/

The rules seem solid haven't honestly played it, well other than a few mock games solo . For me the miniatures will get triple service with Flying Lead, Defiance Vital Ground and I'm going to try and convince someone to give No limits a go with me. However as I don't actually get to game very much for me most of the enjoyment is in the building

This is so inspiring! What scale did the figures end up being? Could you place a 30mm figure beside them to get an idea of the scale please?

Oh that's brilliant! Thanks! i have often looked at them and wondered about building them. How long did it take you to amass that army?

The vehicles aren't to bad but building up the soldiers took a while. For something like flying Lead or the Flipit rules you don't need anywhere near as many as I made up, 12 would be heaps. I got into a bit of pattern, I'd have the cutter cut a page of 6 while I had breakfast, then take those to work to edge at lunchtime. Come home and Create all the body tubes and head cubes. Next day Glue head caps in at lunchtime, then assemble arms and glue 4 pieces together that night. I found spreading them over 2 days in small chunks made it much more manageable, than thinking 50 soldiers to build.... Following the above I built about 24 Black X troopers in 5 days, having a break at the moment then I'll do 30 more. I can probably share the studio files for the falcons over on the members only board just didn't want to scatter them around to broadly as I'm not sure if the creator would be okay with that, he probably would but I'm cautious with other peoples stuff even if it's free

Inspired by your thread I searched a bit about Flipit. Jim Bowen is re-releasing the most of the game pieces (exceptions are the heavies) at 67% of the original size. Because of the small size the new soldiers will have the weapons printed on the bodies. You can find the most actual discussion at this thread at the 4chan/po/ forum: boards.4chan.org/po/res/501801In an older thread you can find most of the new sized models and the new factions "White Lotus", and the "Dogs of War" and "VIPER" mercenary teams. Here is an archived version of this thread: archive.thedarkcave.org/po/thread/497470/And an even older thread with old larger versions of the White Lotus and all of the super heavies: archive.thedarkcave.org/po/thread/489683/Greetings, Zephalo

I love the clear windshields on the jeeps! Do the treads on the tanks with four tread units pivot or are they glued into place?

They Pivot, tube inside a tube although I cheated and used a bamboo skewer as the inner tube for extra strength. There's a newer design available which is more streamlined but I'm not sure the treads pivot anymore.
