Hey guys! Tom over at Fat Dragon has a cool village set up on kickstarter. Its pretty sweet and features fold flat design for those of us that like that for storage purposes!

Tom's last Kickstarter (Dungeons of the Mountain King last spring) was the reason I discovered paper craft, and subsequently this wonderful forum, in the first place. As I've said elsewhere today, hands down the best experience I've had on Kickstarter, and just about the best value/customer service/quality combination I've seen anywhere in this hobby or any other. I've been saving up for this one, and was one of the very first backers, for the full monty. He's already funded, and has pushed past his first stretch goal - Baba Yaga's hut. That was my particular request, but I think he'd already had it quietly planned for a long while. A few people over on the FDG forums (including our much beloved oldschooldm) were requesting docks be included as a stretch goal, and so they shall be! Even if you just chip in for a buck to follow the project's progress you'll get a nice little outhouse model This is the biggest papercraft kickstarter ever, and is sure to be a boost for the whole mini-industry (esp. with a few hints or more about Cardboard Warriors). Fat Dragon got me hooked, and it's sure to do the same to others. So go on out & support the Kickstarter

$18k already, excellent! I'm hoping they pass 24k, the docks and water tiles stretch goal, as down on the docks are where the most skull-duggery takes place.

My influence is growing MUHAHAHAHAHA! I suggested the DREAD GAZEBO! too, and now it is within sight. For those of you who have never heard of that apocryphal icon of Dungeons & Dragons, I will post the details through the Fat Dragon forum thread on Ravenfell: Dread Gazebo post

And (pot sweetener) anyone buying in at the Knight level receives some free sets from One Monk Miniatures and Dave Graffam Games.

Rolling out my new avatar for this Kickstarter, hopefully this lights a fire under you fence sitters out there When an Imperfect Baba Yaga was brought up. I mentioned to both fatdragontom and squirmydad how there is already a perfect hag for the job - One Monk's Witch#5 from the Witches & Bats set! She's even got a raven on her shoulder! How could anyone resist her? Only 18K to go until you too can be enjoying a coven of One Monk witches, a camp of bats, a shamble of zombies, and a couple of wobbles of drunks, all ready to pour out of your printer and onto your craft table alongside Tom's magnificent terrain. Lots of fun goodies already reached, and more on the way! We'll make it! P.S. My modded changeling witch from the same set will return in due time. I've got to remod her from (mostly) scratch now that I've got my laptop back, with a brand new, empty hard-drive.

We are sitting at $35,559 right this minute! If we reach $36,000 in the next 4.5 hours (by midnight EST), then Tom will add in a surprise stretch reward - a mimic! Now, this may be related to my request for a park bench or picnic table to go with the Dire Gazebo (and coincidentally with my Picnic Adventures), or it may be an epic morphing treasure chest. Only if we reach it tonight will we find out! This will also bring us closer to the next stretch goal, The Inn of the Fat Dragon. C'mon everybody, chip in for the best paper craft Kickstarter in town!

Well, I did about as much damage as I can do on this one. This will be my first step to using FDG terrain. It's been a while since I've had time to actually *build* stuff, but maybe by the time the last reward trickles in, I'll be back at it.

Just be aware, now that I've bought 'everything', my contribution to the next KS campaign will be a wee bit smaller... :-P I'm trying to broaden my exposure to cardstock terrain styles/geometry, and this meshes nicely with my desire to support the folks to do this sort of thing so that it may keep on keepin' on. Keep up the good work!
