hackbarth giliusHi guys (and any other Brazilians and/or Portuguese speakers) there seems to be a rash of new releases today from RetroPunk Publicacoes, most recently Savage Worlds, but they also carry Trail of Cthulhu, and about a dozen freebies. I think it's great to see so many languages present on the OneBookshelf sites; it's used by people all over the world as we can attest, and allows people to buy stuff in their first language (be it in the home country or abroad) and others to try to learn/practice a new one I've already picked up one or two items in French and Spanish to oil my rusty language skills with.

IMO RetroPunk are doing a great job of bringing other RPG titles to Brazil. As you can imagine, translated editions are a must to make them accessible to a larger audience around here. They have also released some original titles, such as Abismo Infinito (not on RPGNow, it seems) and some of those Fiasco supplements.
By the way, the translation of Savage Worlds was made possible by using a crowdfunding platform. Given how small our local RPG market is, it was quite literally having the interested people pitching in to have the books produced.

Guilherme Moraes, the owner of Retropunk is a friend of mine. They are a small enterprise (just he and his brother) that managed to bring to Brazil some of the most modern and relevant RPG out there, and also feeding the production of our own RPG titles. Savage World, that is his personal favorite, got a very good translation, and other products (like Spirit of the Century) have impressed even the original designers.
I probably will use Savage World for my next campaign, it's very miniature-friendly and very fun to play with all the props, dice, cards, chips...
