OneBookShelf celebrates the "International Tabletop Day" offering excellent ( imho ) deals. LinkI bought SW Solomon Kane and Numenera ( many thanks to Mount Cook and Pinnacle ) and then I stopped my purchases ( Solomon Kane was an advice by Cowboy, if I remember correctly ). But these prices are really a great deal. So I couldn't renounce them. But even the free "Tabletop Day 2014 bundle" is very interesting imho. along with excellent quick-start rules ( BattleTech, Traveller, CoC, Dragon Age ... ) There are also great products for a value more than $ 70. World of Darkness, Progenitor, Firefly Echoes of War: Wedding Planners, Dragons of Faerûn (D&D 3.5) ... A free download actually doesn't cost much.

It seems this has proven so popular and well publicised, the One Book Shelf sites are down presently (circa 18:00 Greenwich Mean Time, 2014 April 4), or "Experiencing Heavy Traffic - Please Try Again Later", which amounts to the same thing!

Just to update my previous note, the sites were back online about an hour later, but they are running slow, and download speeds - never the greatest from OBS anyway in my experience - are way down, roughly 10 seconds a megabyte over the last half hour (it's about 19:50 GMT just now). Oddly, the process through to payment was about as fast as usual However, the offers run till April 7th, so no need to panic. Plus you could always pay now and download later, once the crush is over.

I think this is a temporary problem caused by the merger between RPGNow and DTRPG

I think this is a temporary problem caused by the merger between RPGNow and DTRPG And there was me thinking that was just their April Fool... Sites were OK just a few minutes ago (about 14:20 GMT, April 5), but download speeds remaining very slow. There was a glitch on one of yesterday's downloads, file corrupted, so I had to try again today. This download was fine. For all the occasional difficulties, good to see the response to this has been so healthy, and while it's obviously not ALL paper minis ( ), hopefully it will be helping those and their manufacturers along too. And it'll be going crazy again in a month's time for Free Comic Book Day, no doubt!
