I've heard it said that if a man loves his work, then he plays for a living. I'm not sure about that. The level of detail in Mr. Prudenziati's models clearly shows he paid close attention to detail, spent time thinking about exactly what he wanted his models to look like, and balancing detail with ease of assembly to make building them as enjoyable for the builder to build as designing them was for him. Did he love his work? Obviously! Look at the features of the miniature people he created, their spirited mounts, and the warm tones he used so often. I never met the man and cannot claim to know him well. I am only became familiar with his work personally recently. I realize now that I have actually seen it from time to time in photographs of dioramas and completed projects around the net before I got the nerve to try paper modeling for myself.
Ciao, Fabrizio, e vi ringrazio.

Thread necromancy again... I did a lot of Halloween items for little Zoe, and I started to look for Christmas items, when I found Zio's Santa and sleigh from 2000. I tried to find a legitimate source for this file using Wayback Machine, image searches, etc. No luck. I doubt that I'm the only one to have the file, but I don't believe it would be easily obtained. Remembering this fine designer, giving him full credit for his design, I am posting the file. I don't even know how to contact anyone about getting permission any more. But with Christmas coming up, it seems appropriate to remember the man and his humor. Yes, version 2 of Santa is Fabrizio himself.
