I'd like to congratulate and welcome Vermin King as the newest member of the Cardboard Warriors Moderator team! VK's primary job will be to continue doing what he's been doing already; seeking out model and miniature designers adrift on the net and inviting them to come participate in our island kingdom. However, now that he's a moderator, he has the power to set up new boards if they so wish. And he gets a fancy title. Thank you Vermin King for accepting this position and joining the team.

Thank you for the honor and the trust. I'll keep doing pretty much what I do. I drop in links here in order to get the attention of folks whose models I appreciate. I contact folks that I feel would benefit from this community and who can benefit this community. I hope that if anyone feels like someone should be contacted that they will feel comfortable bringing them to my attention.
Thanks

I think this is a great idea. Keep up the good work, both of you @vermin King & squirmydad. Edit: BTW I have not been able to "tag" @vermin King for months, any idea why? It works for most other people, see above.

GJ! Edit: BTW I have not been able to "tag" @vermin King for months, any idea why? It works for most other people, see above. I think you have to write "vermiking" without spaces.... like this: Vermin King see? (quote my message to see )

Well, it was only five notifications. Yes, my displayed name is different than my member name. I believe 'verminking' is Dutch for 'disfigured', which probably isn't any worse than 'Vermin King', but VK is what I've been going by for years, so that's what I have displayed. Thanks go out to Glenn for showing me how to change it.

I am always happy when I see you post, eran. At one time I had 16 hours of Red Green recorded. My cousin borrowed it and lost it. Any Red Green references make my day.

"Always remember, keep your stick on the ice...and, uh, if it ain't broke, we can fix that."
One of my favorite characters off all time was a Firefly mechanic based on ol' Red. He once shot a hover mule and had it explode, only to remark, "It was a lousy design in the first place."
I've got a ton of Red Green on VHS at my parents' house.

I loved watching Red Green with my dad - a man who is actually (very) handy. I watched the comedy show he had with his wife even before RG, but can't remember the name of it. I DO remember that it was filmed in Streetsville

It was called "Smith and Smith." I liked it better than Red Green. The Akela of the Cub pack I volunteer at dressed up as Red Green at the meeting Wednesday night. None of the cube had heard of him EDIT: "cubs" not "cube". Who is sausage fingers now? I use a laptop, no excuse.

Thanks, cowboyleland! Yes, Smith & Smith it was, and it was good. A month or so ago I was reminiscing about another great Canadian comedy show - Four in the Floor, by The Frantics. My husband and I will still, every once in a while, sing out "Boot to the head!". And there is no greater Canadian superhero than Mr. Canoehead! Now what was this topic originally about?! Oh, yes! Congratulations, Monsieur le Vermin King! You've long been a font of vast papery knowledge goodness, and an ambassador for our group and hobby, so lovely that it has been made official!

Hey, Sausagefingres, that is Four ON the Floor. Hey, cowboyleland, that is SausageFINGERS ;D As to the actual topic, I'll start a list. I tend to invite people informally a lot already, but as I'm sure many have noticed, I've not been as active here the last few months. My heart is still here, but my hobby time is taken up by actually -playing- nowadays, and in that department I'm making up for lost time!
