I'm working on finishing up my TLX conversion of the old WWG swamp terrain - if you own it, keep an eye on the forums. The tiles have been released already as a kitbash. I'm trying to get the huts done ASAP, but I'm also letting myself get distracted while I finally build the FDG DM screen with all the extra kitbashed options. I will probably buy in at the $69 level, just because I like to collect this stuff and support terrain makers. The stuff in the Ravenfell sets have been fantastic! I have to say, the buildings go together very quick, are sturdy, the fold flat system works perfectly, and having interior floor plans works great too. If you've been put off by other building systems, consider giving the Ravenfell buildings a try. I like the looks of the mountain textures. I bet they'd even look good printed grey-scale. I'm wondering what will be different about the new wilderness stuff compared to the old stuff. I have a hard time looking at the FDG catalog (of which I own most of it from the last kickstarter) and knowing at a glance what is new, what is old, what is modular, what is fold-flat with interiors, will it all work together etc. Admittedly, I have only built dungeon and cave stuff at this point. I'm slowly converting all the buildings to Terrainlinx format just 'cause that's what I'm into.

I do own Swampworks, thanks for your work on the conversion. I built tons of it when it first came out and I'd love to have new swampy bits to add in.

Yeah I pledged in at $69 as well. When I got into paper models, some of the first I picked up were the ez dungeons originals. I have all of the old FDG stuff, but Tom gets better and better with every set, so I have to pledge on this! Plus Egypt! He's been promising that for years.

I'm wondering what will be different about the new wilderness stuff compared to the old stuff. You may find some pointers wading through the (many, many) comments on the KS page. My impression from those is that even what seems to be "old" will be getting a makeover with new geometry and textures, including 3D interiors for the buildings - or at least 2D floorplan tiles like the Ravenfell KS ones, where the full interiors may not be practical. It's confusing because most of the pictures are, naturally, from existing sets. Hopefully, there'll be more ideas for what the new stuff will be like as the KS progresses. Downside for some folks here will be that Fat Dragon seem not to have provided a PayPal option for their previous KS's, and there's none as yet for this one either.

As I seem to be on a KickStarter update trail here today, thought I should just give this topic a nudge too (plus I had a reminder e-mail from Fat Dragon!). We're into the final few days for it now, and quite a number of the earlier stretch goals have been either reached, or have changed (or changed in the sequence).
The current pledge total (as the graphic in Squirmydad's opening post above here shows) is about $33,700 (the requested funding level being $1000!), excellent of course, but still short of pushing on to the promised Barrow Tomb ($42K), Swamp of the Dead ($44K) and Lizardfolk Camp ($46K), so anyone tempted by such prospects who's still thinking of diving into this KS, but who hasn't yet done so, this could be a good time to join in!

Only 17 hours to go now, and less than $1K short of the Swamp of the Dead (there's a promise of dead folks under the water!), and $7K till we reach David's Giant Ridable Boars (we'll have passed the intriguing "Druid Monument" at $48K first though). Into the Valley of Wilderness Adventures rode the 600 (backers)! Don't get left behind

Just reached the Lizardfolk Camp at $46K, which I'm really happy about. My fellow Adventurers League players & I have visited two different lizardfolk camps in the last six months, and it would have been great to have them then. But now I can look forward to having the set available when I'm running Hoard of the Dragon Queen, and/or Drums in the Marsh, along with all the numerous swampy goodies...

Seven hours on from WackyAnne's post, and we've scooted on by $8K, so David's Boars are assured - and there are rumours on the comments page that ALL the ridable mounts may (will?) get armour among the layer options!
We've also passed the Druid Monument, Fairy Rings and Owlbear Nest. Wilderness Traps I now approaching at $56K (pledged total stands at just over $54K) with Traps II to follow at $60K, and 3D Boulders and Rockslide midway between. Less than 5 hours left...

The 2015 FDG Kickstarter Campaign, Wilderness Adventures, is now over! 695 backers raised $57,508, and all but the last stretch goal were reached. Tom's honouring the $58K 3D Boulders & Rockslide because it was reached for a little while just near the end. Now begins the hard work - equal parts patience and pestering Tom for the goodies to get into our inboxes Until then, get printing and building and playing!!!
