For those who don't know, I just started getting into using paper miniatures for my RPG games, based on a desire for some friends of mine to let me set up a campaign using the WFRP 2nd Ed rules. anyways, I bought quite a bit of Dave Graffam's (Dave) and Fat Dragon's sets, and because of the setting that interests my players, is why I'm working on the Harbor/Wharves/Piers/Canals set that I have in another post.
Anyways, here is some of what I've worked on, to start with, one of Dave Graffam's Rustic Cabins built in 28mm, 20mm, 18mm, and 15mm scales, along with some of "Dryw's Gallery of Imperfect Creations" in 28mm, 20mm and 15mm sizes to give scale. Doing this is what has me building at 18 or 20mm scale for buildings. I made that decision based on space for storing, how many pages of paper to print, and level of detail. If I use the 18mm scale, I can use that with papercraft figures printed at 20mm or 15mm without being too unreasonably out of proportion, and if I ever decide to go back to metal miniaturs, there are places to get 15mm ones.
So here, from left to right is a Rustic cabin at 28mm, 20mm, 18mm, and 15mm sized
This is a kitbash of Dave Graffam's Widow's House, starting with changing the coloring of the stones on the ground florr, rotating the stairs 90 degrees, adding a 3rd floor with balcony, and extending the roofling to cover the balcony..
All Levels are removable to allow for access to all interiors:
And did some builds using Fat Dragons's Ravenfell's sets and experimenting with Dragonshire Interiors, including building out dormers and other fiddly things. One observation is that Using the tab system from Ravenfell's to connect levels together, is the tab works better when it is on the interior wall when constructing buildings with interiors..
This was an attempt to try out Fat Dragonss Dragonshire type interiors using Dragonshire and Ravenfell parts to make a building similar to Dave Graffam's Swan house.. Not quite hapy how this turned out, if I redo this I'll add the roof dormer roof connection to the main roof, rather than the dormer wall. At 20mm scale that I used, the walls are less than 1/8" thick, and involve quite a lot of work to asssemble!
And then we go back to a Dave Graffam Cabin and Rustic cabin both in red brick with interiors..
.
Anyways, will get to work on my other project, and then figure out what type/style building's I'll need to populate my harbor/canal town with, and make some more buildings!
