I figured since I haven't posted for a while and am not always working on a specific mini set I'd create this thread to fill the roll my original Paper Minis thread filled on the other board.
I still haven't finished engineering the Pegasi for my Bizantium Marines set as I've been crazy busy preparing for Palladium Books Open House which I leave for on May 13.
In preparation to run 4 different games I've worked up a set of Fantasy minis specific to my game, and also created a set of dungeon tiles; I'm printing a 24x36 inch map that I'll have laminated that is a 1 inch grid over a dungeon floor, and I've got several pages of pre-sized rooms and hallways, stairs, walls and doors that I can use to lay out the dungeon as the players go through it (thus not revealing any of the map before their characters discover it).
I know there's sets out there already done in similar fashion, I just wanted my own and the process of designing it helped me to design the dungeon for my adventure (something I have done in over a decade).
I've also done a few commissions to cover the costs of the trip, and the accompanying minis will be up here probably before I leave for the con. There are some odd-ball Super Villains for a Heroes Unlimited adventure and a few other odds and ends.
I'm thinking I'll have to put together some odds and ends sets from all the commissioned characters I've done, maybe off that for a buck as a sample set?

Amazingly, most of the young people I used to work with couldn't handle 13 hour work days, let alone a lot of the 16+ ones I used to work.. enjoy yourself @madmanmikewith Palladium!

Thanks guys. I worked an average of 60-90 hours a week for 10 year before I fell asleep at the wheel of my FedEx Sprinter van in 2011.. I haven't really done that since. Saturday I worked 9AM to 9PM, Sunday 9AM to 8PM; yesterday was the zinger, 7AM to 11PM. I have a half hour commute too, and my old body doesn't get going without an hour of prep work, so I was up at 5AM to work that 16 hour shift..
I didn't get my nap in this morning like I should have, too much to do. I sat and cut out minis for my games while watching a movie and doing laundry. Now I'm going to burn some tension energy by mowing my acre of land with a push mower.
12.5 hours before I leave.

Home safe (at 4AM <yawn>). The paper minis were a hit, so much so that someone stole some when I was away from the table. Thankfully they also took a few key pages of my printed dungeon floors as well, forcing me to use dry-erase markers to draw it on my laminated 24x36 dungeon floor grid map. Fortunate because I need to tweak the lighting on the tiles so they pop better before putting a package in the store. Now until some time in June Staples is having a sale on poster prints, and lamination is only $2 a square foot. To that end, I'm going to put a temporary link up here to the two grid floor maps I made for this weekend so you guys can get your own printed. Dungeon floor 24x36Ocean Floor 24x36

Going through a rough patch right now, but I do have a couple more commissions to share, another Lemurian and an Elven Zodiac Mage:

Thanks, I'm psyched about how she came out. Sometime this morning I'll have her portrait in my gallery at DeviantArt with a full background.

Well, Here's the full image of that Elven Zodiac Mage. Meanwhile, I'm finishing up an image of a Silverbell Faerie before diving headlong into my next project; Official Robotech paper miniatures. I believe they're going to be made available with the official rules for the Robotech RPG Tactics game that Palladium Kickstarted some time ago, so that people can give the game a whirl without having to invest in the full set up front. I will be using official art for them, so my contribution is largely the mini-processing. I'll keep you guys up to date as I have more info.

I picked up a few more commissions that I'll be posting minis sometime in the near future, but I can't guess when; I had Wednesday off to work a double yesterday, and that 16 hours turned into 24 when my relief was a no-call no-show. And then before I got off my wife texted me that our basement flooded overnight; it's 3/4ths finished with berber carpet and my office, so we'll be spending the next few days with a rented rug-doctor and a couple of borrowed shop vacs trying to save our house. Apparently ten years of home-owners insurance payments don't cover this sort of thing...

Blech--- I've had to deal with multiple basement flooding cleanups.. besides the rug doctor and shopvacs see about renting some large drying fans as well ( Drying fans suggestion ). The worst one's I've had to deal with have been sewer backups.. at that point you just end up ripping everything out...

We were able to borrow a good drying fan from the Lions Club, The family room dried well, and we easily (relatively) took up the carpet from my office and the playroom and laid it on the driveway to dry out. My mother-in-law's room is another story; there's padding under the carpet in her room and I'm thinking it's all going to have to come out and be tossed.
With the carpet up the shop vacs with squeegee attachments made short work of the office and playroom; the laundry room is a bit more difficult as it's the main store room as well, but we're making progress there too.
I did a commission flash sale to make money to take my wife to the movies tonight, but that's not going to happen. Just can't seem to get a break in that department. Instead of going to Six Flags tomorrow the whole family is going to see Jurassic World. I wanted to take her to see San Andreas. <sigh>

This week I had a brother and sister hero-villian duo; formerly members of the same hero team, Malorna was killed by a villain, with the last thing she saw being her brother Barricade fleeing the scene. Barricade went to get backup and returned to find the villain had revived Malorna, who is now evil and consumed with hatred for her brother because she thinks he abandoned her. Ugh! I asked for the wrong week off for GenCon. I should be able to still get the request (as I'm working straight through today through Tuesday next week) since I didn't actually use any vacation time for it, but it's going to be exhausting.. On the upside that will give me five days off to get myself ready. Commissions are still open at half off to get some spending money for the con. Meanwhile, here's my latest commission. The D'norr Devilmen are a race of D-Bees (dimensional beings) found mostly on the North American Continent of RIFTS Earth; with a natural affinity for magic, these benevolent folk often travel the land helping those in need. This particular D'norr is wearing magically created Bark Armor; Earth Warlocks craft the wooden shell to fit the wearer, then enchant the bark to be Mega-Damage strong. She's also wielding a Techno-Wizard Sun Gun, designed for hunting vampires and powered from her own internal magic reservoir..

Slow going these days.. I got my dates mixed up for GenCon and thought it was this week, so I worked from Monday last week through Tuesday this week, 80 hours. Now I'm off until Monday when I do that same schedule over again, as GenCon starts two weeks from yesterday. Only one commission in the past week, and it actually took far too long. The character is an Atlantean Stone Master, who among other powers can draw specific magical effects from gemstones. The character description had nearly 30 gemstones on various pieces of jewelry, and in the final big portrait almost all of them are visible. Anyway, here's the mini/

Okay, been in a bit of a flux with vacation, but I've got a couple more here; first is a Bull Terrier DogBoy from RIFTS, and then a little side image (a palate cleanser if you will), a grizzled old RIFTS Headhunter/partial conversion borg; he's been around a long time and has the battle scars and mis-matched bionics to prove it. Enjoy.
