This year I'm inspired to build a special kitbash based on mauther's FREE Igreja Medieval. papermau.blogspot.com/2011/06/igreja-com-cruzeiro.html. Honestly, you all know what to expect... an interior and see-through stained glass... But, I've got something special in mind to make this kit work well with roll-playing. A whole new level of kitbash! :-) Anyway, if there is a Papercuts 2015 this year, I'll probably enter this (not sure about multimedia or all-paper, we'll see as I go along.) Last year, working on my entry gave me something to feel good about at a time I wasn't feeling very good about myself. I'm happy to report that I get the same positive feeling from kitbashing this model, even though I'm in a much better place this year. I wonder if we are having our annual contest this year? Randy

The answer is yes! I need to start posting details, but it is not significantly different from last year, with the exception of the addition of the game rules category.

Oh, I wish I had time to start my model project, but alas. Yours looks awesome!

One of the reasons I really wanted to kitbash this model was the inset windows. Here's my build pix as I try to figure out exactly how to make them work with vellum...

I wasn't happy with the "floppy walls" effect from only having the window frames to connect the inner and outer walls... I iterated on several ideas for fixing it, then went with my simple standby: Open-end boxes... In effect a way to add perfect fitting tabs to two things that join at 90/180/270 degrees but don't already have tabs. Trim to fit, and bam! OK. I think I'll set this aside for a bit, since my group are coming to Sigil on Saturday and I don't have a thing planned....

I haven't forgotten - here's another mod - opening the upper tower for a church bell (the Bell is from fatdragongames) And, of course, the staircases have been modded to hold figures... ... lots more to do ...

For the interior, I need pews - and I need them to be small (but work with seated cardboard figures...) Here's my .25" deep prototype. I like it, so I'll texture it up using public domain textures and share it here...

Final textures look good... A little public domain Oak tabletop and some photoshop...

Don't get out much, do you Randy? I was sick for two weeks, so I had a big burst of extra hours available. :-) Thinking of it today: I don't play video games (even though I like them very much) - You can think of it as "Papercraft is my Minecraft." Thanks! Now I'm going to use that as my .sig!

I like it.
I was joking, of course. It is only through your inspiration that I've started planning interiors for my buildings. I regret not contemplating it before I had finished the first 20 or so, but hey ho. The County Brewery is my first, and I've really enjoyed it (I've been meaning to post pics for a week or so). I'm nowhere near as committed as yourself, so they're unlikely to get the windows any time soon, but I agree, this has become more of a hobby than the Pathfinder games itself.
I started New Elysium because I liked the world building. Then I decided to make up a couple of Dave's models to help the players visualise... then a few more... then I started minor mods, then kitbashing... Dave really is the Candy Man, isn't he? I'm not addicted. I could quit at anytime. Honest I could...

Don't worry about the windows, it's a bit of a pain and I only do it for special models anyway. :-)

I shall do so then. Just for you. Still in WIP stage- about 90% done though, but I'm happy with how it's going.
I've been focusing more on writing up the website than the buildings, and I'm at least a month behind but been busy writing courses and building other websites, but I shall take some snaps over the weekend.
