Cool! I look forward to seeing more... Have to admit to becoming a convert to "fold-at-the-top" minis too - makes it so much easier to convert them for reivaj-style bases or - my personal favourites - the bravesirkevin ones. The standard tabs I find are just that little bit too small to avoid them getting glued together while doing the whole mini.

I actually moved away from top fold to this vertical fold method: There were a lot of reasons for doing that, but the main ones were: • The halves of the mini are closer together which reduces the impact of potential distortion during printing which is a minor but real risk with long strips on cheap printers. • Doing it this way means only one reverse score is required per mini to get the bottom tabs instead of 2. • It's easier to get the reverse score to match perfectly on the front and back so that getting the folded tabs perfectly lined up takes minimal effort. • It's easier to tuck the tabs away (or mask them) when using spray glue

Sure, first do your sketch and create a new layer with a solid black silhouette of yer mini on top of it, I +2mm as to create the boarder. Now reduce the transparency a bit and use you eraser to draw the mini on the black silhouette. So your drawing with light rather than shadow. Once done return the transparency back to 100% and swith off the sketch layer. Now because you used and erase tool and not white colour you can add a layer underneath and colour it =) takes a bit getting use to but it can produce some really nice effects
