Hey guys! Just a few shots to show what I've been building the past day or so. I love 15mm so I decided to build the first onemonk model I ever built... smaller... and boy did it turn out nice (if I don't say so myself!) Here they are: I'm building the Cuthulu (<-never can spell that right!) model in 15mm next... should be fun! onemonkeybeau

Onemonkeybeau,
That is just fantastic! I had forgotten about the Wyrm.... totally forgot about the 3Dness of it. Would love to see some more monsters like this.

Somebody totally needs to do backs for the Deep Ones and newt-things as well to go with this lot. Brilliant stuff.
By the way, are you basing these the normal way? because that would seem fiddly. Or are you just using flat bases and gluing the feet to the top?

Very nice! They look great. This is going in my inspiration folder so I can see how it's done when I finally try to build the crypt worm. Luckyjoe

Great job man. Those look great in 15mm. And I love the Crypt Worm... that's why I put it as one of the Encouter set choices. Wouldn't it be bloody cool to see a photo of it reaching up over a plinth or raised dias about to devour one of the cultist figures whom raised it from its slumber? And I second the vote for more of these 3d (2.5d) critters.
What's the ground tile from?

Cthulhu...Cthulhu...Cthulhu...Cthulhu... For he whom stares thee long enough into the abyss, thee abyss will surely look back. Blood for the blood god!

Dang that looks sharp! I am going to guess that the bases are mounted on something as they seem thicker than just cardstock. Matte board?

I too am loving the 15mm scale! It gives so much more room on your standard gaming table to allow for monstrous creatures and large vehicles to blend in with troops and even air support! Great work it looks stellar!

Hey guys! Thanks for the kind words! By the way, are you basing these the normal way? because that would seem fiddly. Or are you just using flat bases and gluing the feet to the top? I've completely switched over to flat basing now as described hereThey end up being quite strong and looking super cool too! What's the ground tile from? The ground tile is from Fat Dragon's Dragonshire: Blacksmith and Stable setI am going to guess that the bases are mounted on something as they seem thicker than just cardstock. Matte board? The figs are based on black art board. I've been searching for a cheap basing alternative to matteboard (which is SUPER expensive!). I finally found art board in Michaels' painting and drawing section for $4.00. It works great and... fits my budget! I'm using it for all my models and am even using it to base my tiles. onemonkeybeau

Thanks OMB I've been looking at FDG's new sets (I did pick up the new EZDungeons set).
I also base my figures on Matte Board. Its super sturdy, more resilient than Foamcore, and I prefer the 1/8" high bases as opposed to the 1/4" foamcore. I get the Poster board sized sheets of Matte Board for right around $5.00USD (PatCatans) Must be more expensive in your neck of the woods.

Very cool, it looks really nice at 15mm scale.
I'll add the Deepones finishing to my to do list.
You'll probably see a 2D version of this before you see more 3D designs. Remember I'm designing for gamers, not modelers. Everyone else is more than welcome to design 3D versions of my stuff if they feel inspired to do so, you got my blessing.
I look forward to seeing the Chthulhu at the reduced size, thinking of it, it shouldn't be too difficult. JIM
