DSC’S CREWThis is my take on the crew of the upcoming Star Trek series Discovery, taking into account whatever information is so far available about the show's characters and setting: - The lead character will be a human female in the rank of Lieutenant Commander and not in the position of CO.
- There will be a homosexual character in the crew.
- The crew wil be very diverse regarding the human/alien species ratio.
- The series will be set about 10 years prior to Kirk’s first original Five-Year-Mission. This would be around 2255.
So far, we have no idea who is going to play which character, or even what characters will be on the ship and what they will be like. The above miniature mod is nothing more than my idea what those characters will look like. We see a diverse crew from various species. In ca. 2255 the uniforms will obviously be the same like those we saw in “The Cage” (set in 2254) and in “Where No Man Has Gone Before” (set in 2265). These minis are fanart, infringement of intellectual property rights is not intended. Star Trek, Star Trek DSC and all characters thereof are (C) CBS/Paramount. The original art used for this mod is (C) Okumarts. Many thanks to all for enriching this world with ideas and art of a positive and peaceful future. The set may be distributed freely and free of charge only. It can be downloaded here.Additional mini in diorama (C) by Okumarts.

20 mm clear plastic stands. They can be purchased here: www.spielematerial.de/de/spielmaterial/spielsteine/standfuesse/standfuesse.htmlThey are 0.10€ each and get even cheaper, if you buy a few more. I took a bag of 100 stands, giving me more than I'll ever need at the same time, and had to pay 8€ plus shipping. Since the shop specializes in materials for game designers, I bought some more stuff, so the 5€ shipping inside Germany wouldn't hurt so much. The shop is great, I can only recommend them. Worldwide shipping could bite you, though. As long as you stay below 400 g or 900 g, you'll only have to pay 7€ (400 g) or 9€ (900 g). Beyond that magical "final frontier" shipping goes up to orbit (see www.spielematerial.de/de/lieferung_zahlung/ )...

Thanks for doing these; they are a great addition to David's, and others', already incredible collection of Trek creations. I especially appreciate the attention to and perfect execution of, those tricky collars on the early women's uniforms. Underappreciated Star Trek era, in my opinion. I still feel The Cage is one of the best episodes. I might try my hand at tweaking them, and giving them the lasers from The Cage, and Where No Man Has Gone Before. Thanks again for nice work on a sweet idea!

Thanks for doing these; they are a great addition to David's, and others', already incredible collection of Trek creations. I especially appreciate the attention to and perfect execution of, those tricky collars on the early women's uniforms. Thank you for your kind words. Getting the collars right actually wasn't that hard. I cut one from a still of Majel Barrett and tweaked it to the minis poses. Then, adding a new empty layer, I pixeled out what can be seen on the minis. Get rid of the reference, et voilà… Same feeling here. It's also why "Where No Man Has Gone Before" still is one of my favorite episodes of all things Star Trek, I simply dig the uniforms... Thanks for adding a perfect reference for the laser pistol. I couldn't find a good picture. Once papercuts is over, I will revamp the file and repost it...
