Okay, so this is (once again) my take on a 2.5D model of the ship for the upcoming new Star Trek series Discovery. Using the 77 seconds trailer released at SDCC and a really good ortho (link below) as reference, I created the following: The PDF ( bit.ly/2bAyVR1 ) contains this beautiful display model as well as a game piece for use with any Trek themed RPG or space combat simulator. The scale of the ship will be a little bit off (it's around 170% of the size it should have had in 1/5000 scale, meaning it's 8 cm long instead of 4.72 cm) The models in this set are fanart, infringement of intellectual property rights is not intended. Star Trek, Star Trek DSC and all characters thereof are (C) CBS/Paramount. The original art used as reference for these models was found on www.trekbbs.com/threads/what-era-the-u-s-s-discovery-ncc-1031-will-be-from.282434/page-4#post-11680779 and is (C) by its creators. Many thanks to all for enriching this world with ideas and art of a positive and peaceful future. This set may be distributed freely and free of charge only. As a special effect, you can illuminate the display stand with a LED tealight candle. The photos of the various views are from the test build and show an unfinished model.

ooooooOOOhh... I really hope this show is good. If not, you can download the ship and the crew, grab some friends and Far Trek, and "make it so"…

Did pcs actually have a link to it? They are known to post files as if they are their own.

Yeah, at the end. The other six links in the 3-lines-description are to their own page, though...

The PDF link appears to no longer work.

The PDF link appears to no longer work. Yeah, stuff has been going on with my dropbox... stuff beyond the public folder shutdwon thingy. I have to manually fix all links everywhere on the internet. I'll look after this one tomorrow.

I don't know what they did, but lots of Dropbox links went bad lately They removed the whole "public" folder from automatic share (as well as the picture folder), so every single file must now be shared by generating a shared link. My guess is that they want to remain a cloud service, while ppl tends to use the old sharing scheme as a hosting site.
