The November issue (Number 403) of Miniature Wargames is just out, with a fresh look and a new editor. Inside, there's an article on wargaming the invasion of Crete in 1941, which mentioned a series of free card models available as downloads from the publishers' website in 1:300 scale. Checking what's on offer, there's a 6-page A4-sized PDF download, comprising 3 pages of buildings (including houses, a church, walls, roads and a village fountain), plus two pages of aircraft, mostly Junkers Ju52s in three colour schemes (a total of 5 aircraft, plus variant markings), and two DFS 230 gliders. There are no instructions or images of the finished models, but folks here shouldn't have much difficulty working out what to do, given the buildings are simple external-view boxes, and the aircraft straightforward 2.5D models. The magazine article (by the same guy, Jeff Brown, as prepared the model artwork) does include some basic construction and usage notes, which essentially just mentions the aircraft body section are glued together in sandwich-fashion to give extra thickness, and that by adding a small amount of weight to the nose, the glider aircraft can be dropped onto the tabletop to simulate a genuine air-landing assault. This page contains the download links for all the available items from this magazine, but the one you're looking for is from Issue 403, listed under "Buildings and aircraft artwork for Jeff Brown's The Battle of Crete article.".

Vermin King: I flagged both of the Waterloo models on the CWF previously, but those links are now broken as the publisher has changed in the interim. The links to the two one-page PDFs were fine for me, but if you're still having trouble, try these direct ones instead: HougoumontLa Haie SainteBoth are drawn to 1:900 scale.
