A week ago today my wife left on her annual summer pilgrimage out to Maryland to spend a few weeks with the daughter and granddaughter, so I spent some quality family time by myself kitbashing a door in the side of a mountain from Fat Dragon parts for my One Monk figures to play around in. Could this be the entrance to the infamous Dungeon of No Return? Have fun! Steve

I wouldn't stick my head in!
I love the depth, very unnerving.

Very cool! it looks enticing, like " Hey, I wonder what's in there?"
Also a sad reminder that I have about 15 full master building sets of terrain and nothing built.... JIM

That...sir is a very cool idea!
Nice one Steve.
Could we use something like this for the inspiration and theme for the Encounter project? I like the name Dungeon of No Return too.

ps. I don't have the cliff's set but how do you like it? I love the one thematic promo shot you always see for it...but very little else is shown of the set put together in a scene. So I've not purchased it.

That looks very nice. Having the opening have some depth is very cool and adds a lot to the overall look. The troll looks great in the doorway. "Our friendly staff is eagerly waiting to assist you." Luckyjoe

The Dungeon of No Return is going to feature in some of my monster descriptions for the Codex, so I think it would be a great setting for some of the Encounters in that project, too. I built several other peices from the Fat Dragon Cliffs & Mountain set learning how to do it before starting the kitbash. I'll slap together a diorama to shoot and post. Have fun! Steve

Looks like a great build Steve - well done! ;D The cliff set has come up really nicely. But 'Dungeon of No Return'?? Surely a much more interesting name could be given to such a majestic dugeon.

"Sure, it sounds tempting, but I'm the only guy who's ever come out of the Dungeon of No Return alive, and I'm telling you, there's still a good reason to call it the Dungeon of No Return. I ain't ever going back. Find yourself another sucker." Excerpt from Twit-Herd in the Dark, a popular romance purporting to be the memoires of Sir David "Dirk" Ettinburrow, DG The Dungeon of No Return goes back to the late-'80s, early-'90s, when my day job was clerking in a game store. Many third-tier D&D players would come into the store and natter on endlessly, purely in terms of game mechanisms, about their characters' astounding feats. The store staff gave these maunderings the title of "My three-hundred and thirty-seventh level mage-thief-paladin half-orc half-dwarf half-elf on the two-hundred and twenty-sixth level of the Dungeon of No Return." Have fun! Steve

The cliffs are great, really easy to build, you print out the cliff faces and fold them into whatever shape you want, then just glue that onto a square of 'ground' and trim it off. You can make them any shape/height you like.
