For my kitbash entry, I submit my collection of beasts based on the beast-forms from Trash Mob Mini's Lycanthropes Pack 1.
First, here are the original three minis--a rat, a tiger, and a wolf:
And here are my additional versions...all boxed up! These tuck boxes are about 2.5" by 3", and easily hold all the minis shown in this entry. I'd be happy to post them as .pdfs, with chiefasaur 's permission, since they use his wonderful artwork.
Tigers
Here are the tiger variations. It begins with adult tigers--I created a slightly smaller, lighter-toned version of the wild tiger type, so you can have a pair. I followed with a pair of white tigers, and a pair of night tigers (like the night elf mounts in WoW).
I also created cub-sized versions of each, to fit on 25mm bases. (The original tigers were made for 50mm bases)
I also stripped off the stripes, to make mountain lions and black panthers:
Since the faces of tigers and cougars are pretty different, I did a bit of modding to the heads of the panthers. Here is a close-up comparison between the mountain lion and the original tiger. You can also see the size difference between the larger tiger and the larger panther.
Rats
For the rats, I took the original gray rat, and made five additional skins: black, light brown, dark brown, spotted, and albino.
I also included a smaller version of each color, so you can pair them up, or deploy a dozen and be able to tell them apart without having to number the minis.
Wolves
The wolves you've seen before, in my color modding thread in the gallery, but here they are again, better organized. The first picture shows the variations I did at original size, on 40mm bases, which I'd treat as dire wolves or winter wolves.
This next group is about man-sized, on 25mm bases. I figure these are your basic, natural gray wolf. The larger wolf at the top right is Trash Mob's original wolf mini, at it's normal size on a 40mm base; I included it for comparison.
The size are about the size of a big dog. You could use them as pups for the larger wolves, or use them as coyotes in a western-themed adventure. (Or an eastern-themed adventure--I have personally seen coyotes in the large park near my home in the Bronx!) Again, the larger wolf at the top right is the Chiefasaur's original wolf mini, on its 40mm base.
And here is the whole wolf clan. Forgive the poor depth of field in the photo!
I should note that all minis are shown on Litko brand round acrylic bases, in 25mm, 40mm, and 50mm sizes.
It was a lot of fun working with the wonderful original minis from Trash Mob Minis, and I'm very happy with the outcome. Having great original art to mod makes it a treat to do the work!
