Upon reflection, I've decided to enter the Dungeons of Olde tiles in the Tile-sets category, rather than the Models category, because although they are not strictly flat, the do not model any specific location or building. Instead, they are rearrangable, re-usable, geomorphic tiles, using a grid, and using a consistent base shape and size for modularity. They are intended for use as terrain tiles in game play, not as a model diorama, so I feel they deserve to be included here. Dungeons of Olde Basic Set pdfI wish I had more, better pictures of this new version of the DoO tiles; I simply ran out of time trying to finish and photograph my kitbash entry.

Here's one hasty action shot, technically added 30 minutes late. The jury can disregard it, if that's the judge's ruling!
BTW, if it's allowed, this is a much better "A" photo to appear in the poll threads than the one posted with the original entry.

I hope that with ProBoards being down for several hours this morning, that will be taken into consideration

I have a similar 3D tile WIP that I wanted to enter a couple of years ago, but Squirmydad deemed it to belong in the model category, and I didn't enter it.
I'm glad to see that minds were changed - I might enter my tiles next year, then.

I don't care how conceited it makes me sound. My mobs look darn good in your dungeon environment! Are they available yet? I wanna' spread the word when they drop!

Well, this .pdf--which will ultimately be the free/PWYW version on Drive-Thru--can be downloaded from this very thread. The final version of this set will be on DTRPG whenever I get a real set of illustrated instructions finished.

Well, I just didn't see any point of entering them as models, because they aren't intended to be used as models, the way that Dave's tudor buildings or lightning's asian castles are. They're made to be used as tiles, despite the fact that they stick up a little bit. We'll see if the audience sees it the way we do.

Well, this .pdf--which will ultimately be the free/PWYW version on Drive-Thru--can be downloaded from this very thread. The final version of this set will be on DTRPG whenever I get a real set of illustrated instructions finished. Ah, cool. Wasn't sure if that pdf was the final product or not. To clarify, because rereading my post, I'm not sure if I was at all clear... The version I submitted to Papercuts includes finished versions of all the tiles that will be included in the free/PWYW set on DTRPG. It does not include complete, illustrated instructions suitable for people new to papercrafting; the one page of instructions in the Papercuts pdf should be sufficient for anyone who participates here in the CWF forum, or has already built models like those from Dave Graffam or Fat Dragon, etc. Anyone downloading and building this set can be confident that this geometry and texture variation will be supported as the line goes forward (admittedly slowly). The initial release on DTRPG is intended to have two levels: a PWYW version, with the exact array of tiles in the current set, and a paid version, which will include upgrades such as stairs up and down, additional skins, and diagonal-walled and rounded-corner tiles. Subsequent supplemental sets would cover things like narrow (single-space) corridors, oversized tiles, tiles for irregular caverns environments, as well as building interiors and exteriors. I've figured out the geometry for all these things, but I haven't found/made the time to create the textures.
