I have had this on the drafting table since before I found out there was a Forum for One-Monk Miniatures. I actually have a about two pages of figures that I have finally finished inking in and scanning. I wanted to try my hand at coloring, and thought I would start with something that matches this month's Horde. It should be correctly scaled at 300 dpi. To be honest I have never added a tab or outline before so I am not sure of the sizes. The coloring my be a little too dramatic for a color printer as well, I am not sure... I also have to admit that I take after Stevelortz, when it comes to designing. I drew the mini, took it to the lightboard, and traced the back. After getting it digital, I realized that I should have inked the front before tracing the back. Too late now that I have two pages of these. I tried to do as much correction as I could so the two halves match. Let me know if you see anything that needs correcting.

Oh, wow, that's awesome work - I especially love the colouring on the fur. Well done! ;D
I've given it the once-over, and I certainly don't see any glaring mistakes. The closest I can see is the top end of the club, where it looks like part of it's facing both forwards and backwards (in that we can see the top from both sides). But that's probably easily explained by saying the top's got a bit of a curve to it and peaks in the middle.
Definitely looking forward to seeing your future efforts!

Very cool! It has a nice WoW vibe to it.
You hit all the design ques right on the head, pose, coloring, texture, shading, they all look great.
I'll be sure add this to this months HOARD folder.
If you feel up to your own board here, just let me know and I'll have no problem getting you setup. JIM

I love your work! This guy is perfect for the HeroQuest Barbarian Quest for which you obviously designed him. I'd love to see more of your stuff.

Thanks, Aestelon. I have a few more furred critters to do. I do not know how soon I'll get them all done, though, but I hope to get them finished fairly soon as I'd like to use them in my own gaming. Thanks for the offer, Jim. I think I'll wait until I have a few more of these done. I do not want to take unwarranted space on the board. This guy is perfect for the HeroQuest Barbarian Quest for which you obviously designed him. Yeah, this was designed as part of a set to replace a bunch of minis I needed (mainly for HQ). I have a bunch of others drafted that I hope to post in time.

Thanks for the warm reception. I have to admit that i have always liked the over dramatic lighting. I guess I tend to design the same way I paint.

Yea, dramatic coloring really brings out the dimensionality of the figures and gives them their 3D look. I have also found that dark colored outlines make the different color sections pop, and give the figure clear definition.
Wow did that sound professional... wheres my rubber chicken??? JIM
