Hi All, So Someone a whil back was talking about early cars...earlier than the 30s anyway. I was goofing around on sketchup the other day and came up with these. So if anyone has an interest I'll try to get around to paper modelling these... Shawn, GM64 Attachments:

I still love when we were test building the pulp cars you did several years ago. Those are ace!

Hi all, So I decided to actually do this thing today. Simplified the model a bit and printed and built a test. So I hope I can get around to texturing this soon. Shawn

Hey...I finished something....! Almost...no insrtuctions yet. Despite my printer deciding to ignore inkscape....I had to take the long way around to get something to print. I'll put up the sheet (without instructions yet) in a bit if anyone wants to give it a go.... Shawn

Sp here's the print sheet.... So a few tips: The fenders have a long fold end to end that needs to be scored to be folded (that makes top and bottom of fenders) The weird red shapes on the fender bits glue into the coresponding white spaces on the side of the bonnet and the body. The headlights fold onto front back of each other, with a little tab that tucks under the front of the fender for strength. Probably best to cut out all five sides of the interior and fit them individually....they may need to be trimmed down a little. Other than that it should be self explanatory.... Give it a go and post some pics so I know the thing can actually be built by anyone other than the guy who made it. Thanks, Shawn

Yep, really straight forward. The tip on cutting the interior pieces separately was spot on. I needed to trim those pieces a little more but I'll get it on the next one. Also, worth mentioning for when gluing both sides of the back together, don't forget to sandwich the tabs for the side sections in there. I love these old cars!

So here's the roof. It only has one side printed, so you'll have to marker it black on the inside. It slides down the inside of the back of the body....I suppose if you wanted the roof on permanently, you could glue it between the inside panels and the experior of the body. The style is called a Phaeton. I'll do a sedan and a coupe next I think. Then maybe a delivery sedan and a pickup to complete the set. Shawn.

I am going to wait to see the whole set before I start building... these will be just the thing for my Colonial British. I'll need to recolor them, of course.
The wheels seem a little small to my eye (which is probably just me) so I'll enlarge those by 10%. I like bigger wheels on cars IRL, so I am probably a bit biased lol!

So....the Phaeton with the roof on it. For some reason Okumart's Mrs Powell seems right at home with this car..... Shawn

OK....ignore all the other print sheets. These here are now the official and final versions of the Coupe, the Phaeton, and the Sedan Flivvers.... Give them a try and post your pictures... Shawn GM64

The 'G' is correct, too.
You always do a great job of covering the necessary pieces to fulfill most of the needs. And your models are always so 'buildable'
