Bought some of these flat tin minis on ebay, wow super finely detailed and really almost as thin as paper minis. So want to make these now. So like paper minis its uncanny yet such a different vibe.

Very traditional. The Tzinfigurenmuseum in Kulbach is full of all sorts of these. Check it out if you are ever in the area. They used to make them by carving reliefs into slate.

Trying to source the tools and slate =). Germany seems to the the centre of such things.
