Okay, this is a quick&dirty mod of okumarts Colonists, since I will need personnel for my Lunar Modular Transporter and my other Luna Base sets. The trees in this little diorama were designed by okumarts . Since they look very much like trees on some strange planet in an episode of a certain TV show that might or might not have something to do with my Luna Base sets, I thought them very fitting for this picture... And since it's just a simple mod, I put the minis here. Download link (PDF): bit.ly/2Nwpgvx

LOVELY! Even better because I can't seem to find the mods I started and I think I may have deleted it.

LOVELY! Even better because I can't seem to find the mods I started and I think I may have deleted it. Something must be going on with this set, since I just realized that I did not save the PSD file. So this PDF without layers is all that's left of my mod... I'll have to save an extra copy for should I later decide to add belts and commlinks.

It's a good idea to plan a workflow, when you plan your project. I always do that, and try to plan the sequence of things, including when to save versions of my work, be it PSD, PNG or whatever format that fits the purpose best. I typically use up to 5 different softwares, depending on what project I'm working on, (Photoshop, Illustrator, Bender, Fotosketcher or cartoon.pho.to, and Acrobat), and the format I want to save in usually depends on what I have to do next. That automatically gives me a pile of files from different stages of my WIP, and makes it easy to go back to the previous stage, if a mistake is made. I also recommend organizing your savings with a good (and accurately named) folder structure.

Even doing that, there will be accidents that happen. I will usually have a 'file' and then 'file_work'. When I think I'm at a good breaking off point, it will be saved as 'fileI'. When I work on that file again, I work from 'file_work' and then save to 'file II'. If I get an idea to change the way I did something, I will create 'file_new' and work from 'file_new_work', saving as 'file_new I'. As careful as I am about that, I still lose files.
It happens even when you are careful.

Yup, happens to me too. I think it's unavoidable, but being disciplined helps minimizing the risk of accidents. But year, accidents do happen. Sometimes you forget to save, sometimes you realize that there was something you didn't take into account when you planned the work. I guess it's part of the hobby.

The pdf looks good, however, as this is a "Builder" category you need to submit one picture of at least one colonist built. Thanks.

Okay, it took me a little more than an hour, because I could not find the second battery for my camera. But, here we go, seven of 14 minis exploring a very strange rimmed planet...

I also recommend organizing your savings with a good (and accurately named) folder structure. I usually save early as PSD and keep all layers, working with doubles and such. However, this time (since I only had fiver layers and two adjustment layers) I saved as PDF first, which means that Photoshop switches the file to PDF and no longer shows a star next to the file name, indicating the file still needs to be saved as PSD... So, I saved as PDF and simply closed Ps a few minutes later...
