Hi all, I wanted to share some pictures of my latest builds of the Capital City set from Fat Dragon Games. So far I have built most of the base set, the McDoom's restaurant and the cars (I love them, I wish there were more colors available). The pictures also include several builds from Mega Miniatures: the police car, the semi-truck and the vending machines near the restaurant. I think they blend in quite well. Enjoy!

More pictures: I wrote about the red car (in the first picture) here, if anyone's interested.

And I have a question: Can anyone think of some decent paper miniatures that would fit the modern/superhero/cyberpunk genre? I want to populate capital city but I can't find miniatures that I like, unlike the fantasy genre...
Emphasizing that I am looking for good quality PAPER miniatures.
Thanks!

I wanted to share some pictures of my latest builds of the Capital City set from Fat Dragon Games. So far I have built most of the base set, the McDoom's restaurant and the cars (I love them, I wish there were more colors available). If you have a figure or model you like, but you want it in more colors, it's easy to change the colors using GIMP or Photoshop. I've got two tutorials on my blog, PrintAndPlayGamer, that show you how, and though I use okumarts ' Star-Trek-aligned Where No Man Has Gone figures as my example, the process would work just as well with car models. The tutorials are: How to Format Miniatures in a PDF, which shows you how to set up a new GIMP file for importing figures or models from an existing PDF file, how to format them on the page for convenient printing, and how to save them and export a PDF file you can print using Adobe Reader. You may not need everything in this tutorial, but give it a read to learn how to at least open a PDF into GIMP so you can manipulate the colors. How to Recolor Printable Minis with GIMP shows the no-artistic-talent-needed method I use to recolor figures and models. This is the meat of what you're looking for. In my example, I turn human starship commanders in gold shirts into Orion crew members in red shirts, but the same technique would work to turn a red car blue, green, silver, purple, orange, whatever. Once you've got this method down, you can recolor any figure or model you own into any color you desire! Good luck!
