Okay, so basically, this is going to be a neat and easy playset: A round temple on two steps with pillars on one half and a wall on the other. A large wall divides the room into two parts, the one towards the pillars being the temple, the other being a back room as living and working space for two priests (included in set). There will be some furniture, an altar, and some braziers. I'm not yet sure, whether I'll do several smaller statues of the gods or variants of a big statue as part of the altar. With the gods, I will orient myself at the pantheon of The Dark Eye, as this gives me 12 + 1 gods covering almost every imaginable aspects. They have - a god of the sun and justice
- a goddess of war
- a god of the sea
- a goddess of home and hearth
- a god of death and dreams
- a goddess of knowledge and magic
- a god of hunt and winter
- a goddess of birth and rebirth
- a god of night, merchants, and thieves
- a goddess of fields and nature
- a god of fire and smithery
- a goddess of love and lust
- and a dark god as adversary of the twelve above
If I create male and female versions of all the above, every aspect in various fantasy worlds should be covered. I will also do the priests in every of these variations, as well as an option for colorful windows for the back part of the temple. I will try to create the entire set as a layered PDF, so you will simply have to choose the aspect, and get the parts and minis acoording to the chosen theme. Other than originally planned, I will make the temple in the following measurements: diameter: 20 cm height of temple: 6.5 cm height of steps: .5 cm diameter of steps: 24 cm (upper step), 28 cm (lower step) I plan a dome with an opening in the middle (oculus). However, I have no idea how to create such a dome. If anyone of you lot has some suggestions, you are very welcome to comment them below... I'll post pictures of the progress in the comment.

Wow, you plan 26 figures and a temple? Very ambitious!!! That's 26 statues, 26 priests, and a furnished temple... Yes... Hmmm... I should have sticked with the Lunar Transport...

And so it begins... The temple has walls and pillars. I changed the basic design from a round temple to a square one, as this is much easier to do. Furthermore, I will reduce the gods in this set from 13 to 7, leaving the other 6 gods for a later add-on set. This is not because I could not get the figures done – all 26 are ready to become statues – but because I need to have minor surgery done next week and will most likely be out of order till past easter weekend. And since there's also real life work to do... Whatever! Here are some first views...

Best wishes on the surgery. I was looking forward to the round version, but I understand about the geometry

The goddesses and gods of Set 1 (WiP statues). The first one to correctly name them (by their aspects, see above) will win a special exclusive add-on to the temple set.

Best wishes on the surgery. I was looking forward to the round version, but I understand about the geometry Thank you for the wishes. It's said to be a routine thing, but so they said about that cardiac catheterization that almost killed me... Well, I guess it's just me and my bad luck with such things. I know, the surgeons will know what they are doing and will give their best to not botch it, but the thought of them rolling a natural 1 keeps spinning in my head... Perhaps they are playing The Dark Eye or a 2d20 game instead of D&D... As for the temple, the geometry was not the problem, it's just so damn time consuming...

Can anyone tell me, where I got this furniture? I can't remember, but would like to credit the original creator. On another note, 2 more gods to go, some text, and instructions and the Temple of the Gods will be done...

Okumarts, I think, shep. It's part of the Darkfast Dungeon sets. The PDF comes with three (?) different colour schemes for the wood, I think. I have quite a few sets printed out and made up here that suggest that, certainly.

I have quite a few sets printed out and made up here that suggest that, certainly. This would make things much easier, though I'm not sure, if these are truly David's style. I'll have to check the set, if something's in the notes there... Thanks, wyvern.

Yup, found that out by looking into the original set, too. I guess, you don't mind me modding them to furnish the room/rooms of the priests?

DONE!!! Okay, I need to build the thing, take pics and write up some instructions, but all parts are there and the text is written. So far, the set has 15 pages for a roundabout 22 x 22 cm terrain piece with removable roof and interior... I imagine a temple of the gods of hearth and home to be like a large free tavern right next to the city gates, welcoming travelers with a refreshing drink and perhaps a piece of bread, if they leave a token of gratitude for the hospitality – ideally in the form of shiny coins...

I'm gonna fold-flat that shep! Please release to be compatible with cutters - I can make the cutfile if you don't want to do that part.

I'm gonna fold-flat that shep! Please release to be compatible with cutters - I can make the cutfile if you don't want to do that part. I know it's possible to build the temple fold-flat, but perhaps not the easiest of building options. However, have fun storming my castle... Since I don't use a cutter other than my hobby knives and scissors, I wouldn't even know where to start making cutfiles. I leave such niftiness to you cutter-pros...
