these are my better papercraft projects. i would count the ud41 among them but it is not finished yet. i will answer any and all questions! i have attached files which should display in order of mention.
first up is the first papercraft project i ever made. i initially only had one big bertha and the commander, standing on a very simple cardstock thing, but when i completed a certain monstrosity mentioned later, i added more to it and improved it. i give thee; (1,2) the total annihilation arm commander and his personal compliment of four big berthas! you might be able to tell the difference in color quality with one of the big berthas. this is because it was the first and i printed it this way because i did not know how to use pepakura viewer and pdf together, and had to screenshot the pepakura preview.
next up is something i stupidly jumped right into after i completed the first version of the arm commander and his single big bertha; (3) the mechwarrior 4 mektek supernova. it is definitely my favorite battletech design, but because i had little to no papercraft experience, it was pretty badly built. in the span of 3 months it took to build it, i would quit after having completed a limb or something, but when i got to the guns, the 24 tiny barrels were a nightmare and i pretty much gave up for a month and rushed through the last parts. still, i love it and i will definitely make another now that i have the proper cardstock stuff and not just copy paper...
when i finished the supernova, i was so happy that i had my favorite mech in physical form that i jumped into something that was an EVEN BIGGER nightmare... obviously i hadnt learned my lesson because; (4) i thought this thing wouldnt be such a slouchy, annoying thing to build, but it definitely was just that. i intended to run wooden framework through it, which improved it's stance QUITE A BIT, but it still slouches. this damnable thing took me 8 months to complete simply because, every time i finished a piece, i was exhausted and whized off because my fingers were actually more stick than the surface of the fking glue stick i was using...i will probably make another with proper cardstock.
when i finished it i was disappointed with it, but i was also very happy that i could finally work on some of the smaller, simpler designs that id stockpiled on my pc. one of which; (5) is this alien bug set by ebbles. i intentionally squished the legs and stuff so that theyd look more alive, and i love the effect. i was so pleased with them that i went on to other ebbles models that arent as impressive but...
i did start working on; (6,7) the ebbles sandmaster V. you may notice that this one has track pods replacing the wheels. this is because i hate curved stuff in papercraft, and i wanted it to be like my lego technic arctic truck anyway, SO i designed some tracks for it based on the ebbles mbt. they are very simple and not the best, but i would love some feedback!
when i completed the sandmaster, i made some more simple stuff, and pushed myself to give the arm commander some competition; (8)
i have a few more(mostly ebbles and a couple ravensblight things) papercrafts that i will show if asked.
please give me your feedback!
